So, end of the story: White Rabbit redirected me to the Chem Bros' official store, who offered me 20% off the book's original price.

No additional book, but eh, fair enough.

As long as you are happy with the sollution. I must say, that kind of fast handling is not what most of us have experienced. Seems like Chemical Brothers official store has a better service departement as White Rabbit...

I had the same conclusion, sadly.
Wish the best to everyone still tangled in this mess...

Question to all of you Deluxe Edition owners: Does anyone of you not have the mixed up pages cut out and glued back in? Or am i still the only one who's copy had the pages (gladly) not cut out?

It's 237!  That's also the best number because it would make you the Turbo Nutter of the deluxe owners

I did a Superflash Edit, without all the "christmas" parts, more dark club oriented, hope you enjoy !

I'm re-reading this book over the holidays but taking a different approach. Along the way I'm really taking my time to read all of it to pick up on and appreciate the back story to the band we all love.

I was reading yesterday on how Song to the Siren was made... I've must of known this already but just kinda skipped over it since music can be made in a less complex way today. Huge shout out to Tom for the time and patience to make such a stand out track not only for its time but also today. WOW!

In addition I'm going a bit crazy with making a playlist. Anytime any song or album is mentioned, I'm adding it to the playlists. Tracking down songs I can't find on Apple or Spotify. And I'll admit that I've added Dancing on the Ceiling because Ed mentions it. It's kinda fun to listen to other songs that came out while they were starting out. Plus there are some new found gems I didn't know existed. I'm only around page 50 so far and have been enjoying the journey.

Update on creating this play list. I've hit a snag on page 110 where Noel mentions 2 songs. One called "Promised Land" I believe is by Joe Smooth. I guessed based off the year it came out. The other track that Noel mentions is called "It's All Right". I can't seem to figure out who that is by based on the context he's giving.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the response. The timing of when this song wouldn't line up since Noel is talking 1987 to 1990, but I'll go with it unless anyone else has a suggestion. Thanks!!

Well based on your specific timeline, "It's Alright"- Pet Shop Boys?

I'm about halfway done. I think it's great so far and I love all the pics they include on almost every page. Their college experience sounds like it was a blast.

Standard edition book arrived with a jacked up corner and wrinkles in that spot on every page though 😭. I think the delivery guy threw it over the gate and it must have landed hard on that spot. Oh well.

It's interesting to read about how they were still trying to figure shit out during their earlier albums when it seems like even back then, they had everything down to a science.

I especially like the insight into the evolution of their live show and how Adam Smith would put everything together using whatever he had access to at the moment.

Love it so far. Some of the lineups for the shows/parties they had back in the day were insane.

Can we please agree to pin all the blame on White Rabbit?  ;)  ;D
