New Song!

Have we overlooked this in all the excitement of the album and gig announcements?

AURORA sounds kinda celtic on this, like Enya/Clannad.
Tom's production has me saying: I Break Horses much?
Listen to the tail end of Heart To Know. Or listen to all of it!

Vinyl and cd with signed card are pre ordered 👍
Eclipse or Pink Nebula!?

Come Closer is like Snow meets I Break Horses! Big fan.

OOOP. Sorry Wolken!

Proper video - but shorter audio than above.
IT'S MORNING TIME!

I really like "Come Closer," it's kind of like a spacey electronic mantra... I love Aurora's screams, I love the synthesizers, everything about the song is more than good, in my opinion. Oh, and some of the synth sounds remind me of MAH, awesome.

Pink Nebula and Celestial.

Which is not strange as Tom helped out on her debut album.

Off topic: I lost track of I Break Horses. Got her debut and third album (Dead Engine is beautiful), saw her live once and according to her Instagram account new music should be coming but it has been silent.

Interview on NME

Good interview. The Social looks like an awesome place. It shows great character from beyond the lens.

While they've shared several electronic fused music textures so far (which made this project so highly intriguing), Tomora feels like a journey of instinct, rather than a focus to make something exceptional. I guess what I'm saying is, I've dialed back my expectations for this project.

They have signed versions of the album in the Tomora online store, I hope y'all saw that before preordering!

This white vinyl release has a sticker on the cover that shows there will be two more singles released: SOMEWHERE ELSE and HAVE YOU SEEN ME DANCE ALONE?

Please log in to view this attachment.

(The cover art and packaging looks amazing ;D )

There's also some speculation that one of the songs in the tracklist, WAVELENGTHS, is possibly an unreleased Aurora track from ~2017 that was leaked in 2022:

In the NME interview they mention they are on fairly small budget so I wonder what Adam will come up with for the live show. Hopefully they aren't too limited in scope

Come Closer is a "single" but The Thing isn't?

I'm so out of touch 🙃

Typically a way around keeping a tight budget is fan participation, maybe? Tell your fandom to wear a mask (or provided an easy to make at home mask), pink wig, something related to Tomora that can be done in mass.

I know it looks great from a streaming perspective (Coachella).

Honestly, none of the tracks so far are conventional singles in my mind. But The Thing is the one that I would've poured my budget into for a well produced music video.

The Thing was labelled a b-side when it came out, but once it showed up on the album I assumed it would count as a single too. Apparently not.

RTA and The Thing both felt more like singles to me. I get the sense Come Closer was only pushed as a single because it's the title track and part of the album rollout. It doesn't really play like a single at all, and I can't see myself listening to it outside the context of the album.

Come Closer is quite breathtaking, isn't it? Aurora's voice sounds like a blanket of stardust drifting in the wake of satellite transmissions. It was enough to get me to crawl out from under my self imposed hibernation rock and join forum land lol :clap hi hi!

Since it has been pointed out I do hear similarities with I Break Horses though it wasn't on my mind when first hearing Come Closer. Cannot wait to hear the whole album and see how the magic comes to life on stage!

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

i hope tom gets to just let loose and make some really weird psychedelic shit with this project

Eight or over.

Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance, especially when she gets all shout-y.

Soooo... it is just a thought but I have a sneaking suspicion that the remaining copies of 'Ring The Alarm' white label vinyl (500 hand numbered) will be available at the Manchester and London gigs???

I reckon there are approx. 480 still out there - maybe a little less (having Tom, Aurora, managers, friends, etc receiving a copy).

10 copies were given out to the Instagram Comment competition winners and 10 signed copies at the Rough Trade stores.

Thoughts/feelings/etc 🤔 ...

I guess that is what the (at least) 4 different vinyl releases are for, to increase the budget or cover the costs for the live shows. 😁

Those 500 copies or so have been released already I think. 10 Instagram winners, 10 signed scavenger hunt findings, the rest, more or less, have just been sold in record shops or send out to djs. At least that is what I get from communication and number of items popping up for sale.

Which Tomora track do we think this is? And can you hear that bass?
I'm gonna guess at: Have You Seen Me Dance Alone?
Can anyone make out the lyrics?
It doesn't shazam (yet).

If you ever visit the Social in the daytime, make sure to order a Fishfinger sandwich (don't let them fob you off with pizza). I saw the band HOLY FUCK! live there once. It gets very packed at night.

That NME interview was long. I finally got around to watching it yesterday. I noted they're still making more music and they say they might never stop!
I suppose it's possible that the track above isn't on the album at all. It might be just something they made as part of their ongoing process. I guess we'll find out soon.

EDIT: PS I get the impression that the interviewer has heard some or all of the album, judging by the way he was talking about which tracks would be good live. I wonder if there is an album preview/review website somewhere for critics etc.
Who has insider news on that? @Einyen ?
