This seems very odd to me. Why kill the hype? Unless it straight up isn't happening, wouldn't you want fans to get excited about more new music?

To slowly release information and build momentum for the album. It's all about marketing, as shown by everything TOMORA has done so far.

I actually thought the opening noise was from the Life of Galileo soundtrack. And maybe it is because it isn't from Hania Rani's Sentimental Value.

Only one track, the one you linked, out of the 10 from the Sentimental Value original soundtrack has been released. The full album releases on January 30. The one in the intro is almost certainly just one of the unreleased songs.

Decently big Hania Rani fan and I can almost guarantee that intro sound is not from her. She works with synths plenty but it's always rather neo-classical. Maybe I'll eat my words and she's trying something new with the soundtrack but I'd be shocked.

On deleting references to the album - wouldn't be surprised if the album is delayed or just not quite set in stone. Some early press releases might have gone out with a date and name that now need to be retracted since the album won't arrive like that (or on the date stated) but some publications didn't get the memo. Marketing and PR is a pain. If it's an intentional bid to get word of mouth or discussion going by letting the album announcement be nothing but deleted rumors so far, it's a little awkward and uncoordinated compared to the rest of what they're doing.

This whole project still feels so good, hearing Tom cut loose. The Thing makes so much sense, it's like a missing link in the chain of Chemical Brothers work, like of course a song like that finally exists. It could have come out anytime between 95 and now, but just didn't for any number of reasons. I'm reminded of Underworld talking about needing to not be Underworld for a while in the run up to Barbara Barbara, to not write music in a style that fit the expectations of UW in order to love the process and create again. There's definitely expectations for what a Chems album is these days. Same probably goes for Aurora and her own hype cycle. But Tomora can be anything. Good on em.

Love them casually revealing that the No Geography riff started as a demo with Aurora.

I'm pretty sure we're not talking about the same part of the mix.

Right at the start during Tom and Aurora's intro you can hear strings in the background. I'm almost certain that's the "Sentimental Value OST" in the tracklist. The part right after the welcome message when the synths come in is the unreleased TOMORA track. I'm confident about this because when I uploaded the mix to YouTube everything from just after the intro up to RTA was copyright claimed as a single song with the track info hidden. I've attached the audio of the full unreleased track as per the copyright claim

Yeah, we're on the same page. In my first post, thought you meant the synth flare immediately after the greeting / at the start of the unreleased track.

Labels love to be super in control for this kind of thing.

Love that they have picked up Ghosts by two shell and started playing it in their sets, one of my favourite tunes from the year it came out!

Also, with that background, I feel like Rod Serling is looming in a cloud of cigarette smoke.

It's 237!  That's also the best number because it would make you the Turbo Nutter of the deluxe owners

Some articles mentioned January 31st as the release date for the album, could it be shadow dropped in 2 days ?

Which article(s) ?

Maybe it is the song "Come Closer" they mean on Jan 31st?  Album will probably have the same name.
I think Saturday is a weird day to release both a song and an album?

18 sec video snippet of Aurora singing "Come Closer":

Can't remember who talked about January 31st. And someone else talked about the articles mentioning some other date (was it April ?) maybe I misunderstood and mixed both information together.

EDIT: ah, found it. I misunderstood, I think they were mentioning the Hania Raini album, that did just get released. Also it was indeed the 30th instead of the 31st, which makes more sense.

We observed your curiosity. Follow me. 〰️

Is this actually team Tomora or is it @instantreigen or someone like that?

PS: I'm confused; when does the Come Closer song come out? Do we know?

EDIT: Is the album closer than we think?

I bet that's just a play on words referencing the song's title.
Wolf Alice is the best band alive.

Data package incoming... Could this be album info? Tracklist, sleeve cover, pre order??

5 days apparently!

Has that old boxy TV got a DVD player built in? I used to have one like that.

It does feel like more than the countdown to just a new track.
