Maybe i could use some help here.

With all these dates happening in france, im considering going to a few of those shows, HOWEVER my boss just came back from france and told me how ridiculously expensive it is there and pretty much said if you dont have to do, save your money.

My question is, how feasible is it to stay somewhere other than in france and just travel to the events day of? or whatever.

Also, how hard is it to travel to france or the EU with a criminal record? I would be coming from Canada.  Yeah, this is why im coming overseas to see my favorite band since i havent been able to see them in Canada since 2002. Also cannot go to the states as they dont let me in with a criminal record.

Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Considering how wrecked the CAD is right now, travelling is going to be really expensive no matter what! I don't think France is in general expensive, as long as you aren't staying in major cities like Paris. Stick to hostels, cook your own food, be proactive on planning and you can save a lot of money that way.

TravelWiki is a great resource. They have tons of info on visas, freedom to travel with a record, etc.

There's still chance for Open'er festival at 29 or 30 June. I'm counting on it.

Good news for our Japanese folks: two shows will be coming your way on the 12th and 15th of October at the Rockwell Sirkus Show in Yokohama and Osaka.
And it seems like these are the first shows to be Chems only performances - lucky you!

Belfast "Belsonic" festival on June 10 added to the list.
