There will be a mix this weekend. Am I reading this correctly?
Based on the scarce information in this tweet, yes, I also understand that the Chems will perform a DJ mix.
If true, this will be the first new mix on radio since when?
First on radio since the Pete Tong mix in 2011. I am excite.

The 30 minute one with the Massive Attack Teardrop remix and the crazy pseudo-dubstep track with Chemical Beats UH samples.

Done!
It looks like this is exclusive to Apple Music. I don't have Apple Music. Does anyone here have it?
Also... when exactly is the mix broadcasting? "This weekend..." be more specific!
Excited.
should we have a tiny chat again?
We can do it here! We added a chat to the above menu.

Hmm, that was not really a DJ Mix, rather a radio show with the Chems talking and playing rare stuff, was it ? And what is that "pseudo dubstep track" ? :O
Nope, it was a DJ mix - the first half hour was Ed talking about music he loves and came to know thanks to Pete, and the first two tracks of Glastonbury 2007, then the last half hour was a proper DJ mix by Tom. Here:
http://www.mediafire.com/listen/7zhqffcax2onj0s/The_Chemical_Brothers_-_Radio_1_Takeover.mp3
The pseudo-dubstep track comes on after Don't Think, it's Stereo Freeze by Untold.
I wonder if this is mixed by both brothers?
Seems like every album (minus crazy concept album Further) has had an accompanying DJ set released. Bout fuckin time :music :music :music

Nope, it's dubbed "unfinished" mix. And if you ask me, it was not good enough to be worth releasing...

I assume that for those of us in the GMT part of the world, that's actually 7am Saturday morning, which would be five hours ahead of 2am EST, I believe (although to confuse things, the UK & Ire is currently on "Summer Time" rather than GMT). And the seond GMT time is presumably 2AM Sunday morning (but maybe an hour different due to Summer Time).
7am GMT and 2am GMT is with the extra hour. Normally it'd be 6 and 1.
I'm down for a 7am start if we're gonna listen as a family. Otherwise I'll save a few hours and listen back with a bowl (or three) of Coco Pops.
So, it's in 2h30 right ?

Nah.

Yup. But in the UK we're on summer time so we're an hour later. So 7am.
Ok there's another tweet now which links to Apple music/Beats Radio and seems to confirm that 7am is the time for the UK (scroll sideways through the "on air" times).

How... do you actually listen to this? Do you need iTunes?
I've been holding onto an unupdated version of iTunes for a while... I'd be irked to upgrade now but this would be worth it.
Edit: Figured it out.

If anyone can't get Apple Radio to work and wants to listen to it live, I can try rebroadcasting it to you via Skype. PM me your Skype account name and I'll call with a stream of the audio.
I'll also be recording it. If I'm awake for it. My sleep schedule is wack, I've been going to bed at 8pm recently. I'm an old man.
I've been sick all day and am currently coughing my lungs out and sweating like a teenager on drugs. I don't know if I can stay up until 5AM :/

Rough tracklist. There are significant errors here:
Kool Keith - Drugs (Version IV)
The Chemical Brothers - Go (Special Request Warehouse Mix)
The Chemical Brothers - Go (Extended Mix Outro)
The Chemical Brothers - Direct Buki
The Rolling Stones - Miss You
Earth, Wind and Fire - System of Survival (Chems Edit)
Ron Hardy - Sensation (Long Version)
Steve Poindexter - Born To Freak
Demdike Stare - Patchwork
The Chemical Brothers - Just Bang

Daft Punk - Burnin
The Chemical Brothers - Sometimes I Feel So Deserted (Skream Remix)
The Chemical Brothers - It Doesn't Matter
Motor - Sweatbox?
Charles B. - Lack of Love (Chems / Tom Rowlands Edit)
Probably some false IDs in there too. iTunes isn't the best trainspotter. Bosco tells me Bizarre Love Triangle and an instrumental of Under Neon Lights were teased in the mix but I don't know where.
Man they should've played C.H.E.M.I.C.A.L.!

That was a great opportunity for CHEMICAL. But hey, was good overall.
Does anyone know what that mad intro was?
Bizarre love triangle definitely was teased. And I do believe an instrumental of UNL was used in there somewhere.
Agree the intro was the tits.
Ok I missed this as I was catching up on some much needed sleep. Gonna catch up now though thanks to Enjoyed.
I have listened to Zane before on Apple/Beats radio without any problems. But today it won't work for me. Surely my three month free subscription isn't up already?? When the BEATS1RADIO.COM LINK opens up the "Radio" section of my itunes account, it says "LIVE NOW" . Then I click the pink button that says "Listen Now" and ...nothing happens. Anyone else have this?
I had to click it a few times but that was after taking my HDMI cable out to record. It said it was playing but I couldn't hear anything (hence the first few seconds of the intro missing.)

I'm liking that Skream mix of SIFSD. It'd be nice to get the track properly at some point.
NIce job on tracking down the tracklist Bosco. Incidentally the 'Unknown' track by Todd Terry is actually "Alright Alright" by Masters at Work (You're welcome!).

AGREED. But. The original version of the remix is better than all of them. The only copy I have is on a cassette I recorded from an Radio 1 show in Ibiza in 2001. Instead of the piano in the breakdown it uses the original guitar (which you can hear in the background when the drums come back in) but it's soooo much more powerful IMO.

They do. But my professional hunter gather skills may struggle to actually find the cassette. I will begin the quest later.
I should probably digitize the Chems set from the Social on NYE too. Back in whenever it was. I know for a fact that there are chunks of sound missing from it being worn out though.
The quality of the rip makes my hi-fi system cry. ((
It makes me cry too. I'm sorry. It's all I could get at 7 in the morning with iTunes and Audacity.
I understand. Anyway thank you so much! There are some really great old school stuff!
The Rolling Stones track is not Miss You, it's Emotional Rescue

Could even be In Flagranti's "Emotional R". The edit they play sure sounds really close to that version

28MB for 65 minutes, really ? Could they do even worse ?
Yeah, it's a shame about the sound quality. I'm sure something crisper will surface.
I don't know if it makes any difference since I don't really know at what bitrate they broadcasted but I recorded the show too in wav and mp3 (16bit, 48kHz, 320kbs)
I recorded it in wav too. It's fractionally better but ultimately still compressed to bugary.
