I have a doubt. Because tom rowlands was credited as a blend and engineering on the hanna soundtrack and ed was only credited as a composer? if both ed and tom are composers should have the same credits. now that would be impossible to fix. if you do not believe me look at the hanna soundtrack at discogs.com.
Tom is credited separately as engineer because it had been recorded and mixed basically at his own studio on his equipment. Ed never has been that much involved in the technical aspects I suppose. I don't think it's a big deal. Besides, Ed, at that time, was getting back to school studying whatever he eventually majored in last year.
I don't see a problem with that anyways.

Perhaps from 2011 he did not have much time to be in the studio for his study psychotherapy (I mean the soundtrack of Hanna and the album Born in the echoes.

I said I suppose ;). Tom has always been the tech guy, hence he got himself an own studio. Also, he's always been the one behind the mixing deck during their live gigs.
Apart from that, maybe you have a bit of a misconception about composing. Composing does not necessarily involve engineering and mixing because you might want specialists to do it right. Actually, it's a profession in itself. That's why lots of musicians have their final songs and albums mixed and engineered by pros (Mike at the Exchange for instance who's mentioned on each album). That said, composing and engineering are not to be equaled, they are different parts of the music production process and not synonyms for each other.
I'm pretty sure Ed likes fiddling with Tom's gear when they're in the studio ;)
It is true, I am not very clear about the concept of composition. But thanks for making me understand. I read on Wikipedia (in the Push the Button album article) that Tom handled keyboards, samples, synthesizers and programming, while Ed handled keyboards, guitar, bass and engineering. Perhaps Tom is sometimes the engineer, other times Ed is the engineer and in others both are in charge of engineering (along with Steve Dub). As the chemical brothers have Steve Dub, Fatboy Slim (of whom I am fan number 1 and who is a good friend of the Chemical Brothers) has Simon Thornton and The Prodigy has Neil Mclellan.
Is there any way to talk to Tom or Ed?
