Game: Turn Chems albums into EPs

The EP talk Enjoyed brought up in the Free Yourself got me thinking.

Let's make fictional Chems EPs. Build them around any theme you like - the idea is to curate a specific era of work down into a focused and powerful package.

Rules:

1. EPs must be 3-7 songs long.
2. EPs must be shorter than 30 minutes long total.
3. Songs can be in any order but must all be from the same album / era.

This is hard to do considering how cohesive and thematic Chems albums are, but try to "forget" the true order of the album and put something unique together - a "what-if" alternate reality release.

Try thinking "in sides" too, like a single 12" that fits 12-18 minutes per side, this can help.

Racing the Tide
1. Let Forever Be
2. The Sunshine Underground
3. Asleep From Day
4. Surrender
5. Dream On

Sunny psychedelics.

The ultra dancey space-age extended cuts from this era, designed for a 12" release direct to DJs. Originally had Horse Power here then remembered Superflash - what happened to that track??

I like this. Kind of an extended "Chico's Groove" single with b-sides. Though Buzz Tracks and K-Hole (96/97) aren't really the same generation as Alive Alone and Chico's Groove (written in 94, released 95).

If You Kling To Me I'll Klong To You, My Mecury Mouth, and Dope Coil would all work great there though and they're all tracks from 1994.

Alternative Equations
A1 Dope Coil
A2 Chico's Groove
A3 Alive Alone
B1 My Mercury Mouth
B2 If You Kling To Me I'll Klong You

With all the B-sides I think there's a ton of interesting ways you can take WATN.

Magical. Didn't expect Hanna to count as Further era.

NOT ANOTHER DRUGSTORE EP
01 Not Another Drugstore
02 Dig Your Own Hole

This, but imagine the outro of Elektrobank going into the intro of the album version of Block Rockin Beats, and replace Dig Your Own Hole with Morning Lemon. Killer.

Never for money, always for love.

I literally, love all these EPs

no idea, no idea

@whitenoise the 30 minute rule forced me to swap some tracks out timing-wise or removing a track altogether. Silver Drizzle was originally in my We Are The Night era EP. Morning Lemon was actually in my Dig Your Own Hole era EP, but removed for time. My Galaxy Bounce EP ended on My Elastic Eye, but also made it over 30 minutes.

I didn't do EPs for the Surrender nor Push The Button era...

THE SUNSHINE UNDERGROUND EP
01 The Sunshine Underground
02 The Diamond Sky
03 Orange Wedge
04 Flashback
05 Scale
06 Let Forever Be

SD isn't from the WATN-era, it is from the CWU-era. Tom said it back on the old forums:
