(how long would have I held without opening this topic here ::) )
Peugeot just revealed a new concept car, the Fractal, and asked Amon Tobin to do the sound design for the car. This goes from the sound the car will do when driving to warn pedestrians about its presence (in a few years, electric cars will have to emit sound for safety reasons), to sound design inside the car going with actions such as turning left or right or warning about a danger. I think the idea to get Amon Tobin for this is just brilliant ! Obviously it's the fanboy speaking, but I can't think of a better choice for this kind of sound design.

It was just meant to be an introduction with (some of) my favourite tracks for anyone who would not know his music ;)
I uploaded a few vids from the ISAM Live DVD. Just a reminder of how awesome this show was :)

well hello, Mr. Ben J
After years of begging for an ISAM Live 2.0 video, Ninja Tune and Amon Tobin delivered ! And for free !
Arguably the best audiovisual show of the last few years.

New track, part of the gigantic Touched 3 compilation, that regroups new tracks from 417 electronic music artists :

It's obviously using the modular synth gear that Amon has been teasing on Facebook and Twitter and it's very experimental. I hope he brings a bit more musicality to the new album though :P
Some news from Mr. Tobin :
A new remix for Noisia

An unreleased track that I managed to grab from a Ninja Tune sampler album:

Yet another unreleased track

Amon Tobin recently did a set with his Buchla synth with visual artist Ash Bolland called Audio Creatures in which they projected onto Sydney Opera House's sails and turned them into various creatures. Mr. Tobin is now giving away a half hour worth of his modular noodlings for free download in 24/48 M4A files...

There's a new Two Fingers track at 40:00.

This appeared on the online store Junodownload and was pulled shortly after, but still appears in Google search results...

The first title from the new album is out ! It's pretty different from his old stuff and marks even more the gap between his Amon Tobin stuff and his Two Fingers stuff.

But there's more. Amon also launched his own label, Nomark. The website lists 4 unknown artists and a bunch of unknown releases that may or may not be new aliases for Amon.
The artists page: (,with new names "Only Child Tyrant", "Figueroa", "Stone Giants" and "PaperboY"

The releases page:
https://www.nomark.net/releases
My theory is that they are all new Amon Tobin aliases and that the releases that look alike are each from one of these new identities.

Velvet Owl is definitely my fave
☮︎ feeling this album ☮︎
It's a very peculiar album and it will divide the fans. I'm kind of in the middle. I love some of the tracks but overall feel like this should have been a side project and not an "Amon Tobin" album. It seems like a waste to not have any beats in there, knowing how good he is at making them, but I'm holding my breath for the other side projects coming out this year, I'm sure some of them will bee right up my alley.
Talking about that, I got that Electronic Sound magazine with the first track from Only Child Tyrant. It's more of a teaser really, being only 1mn29, but it's a fun little track, mixing surf rock guitars and the usual Amon Tobin beats.

interesting..when i was listening yesterday, i had an immediate and distinct impression of
this is the most amon-tobin-sounding thing i've ever heard=P
An excerpt from T.S. Elliott's poem The Waste Land...
"What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust."

Amon's new project Only Child Tyrant's first album was released today. And it's a banger
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7Wr3-xGdOo
i think we found the beats you wished for in fear ;]
Only Child Tyrant is great
I cannot wait for the new Two Fingers album
My two favourite tracks on the album :

another new album coming out in a month..

he's released a new video on making only child tyrant basslines using a modular

Amon's newest album (as new alias Stone Giants) is out and I really love it. It might actually be my favourite of his latest projects alongside Only Child Tyrant. Maybe because it's not as singled out as his other side projects and sounds more more heterogeneous, closer to his older albums.

he's been doing some fun, weird stuff lately. i dig stone giants.
tho, tbh, i am a huge fan of his last two amon tobin albums, dunno why but they just really speak to me.
a new album's out today.

Not too fond of this one. I like a couple of tracks (How do you Live, Rise to Ashes, Phaedra) but the rest is a little bit boring...

Yeah, gets a little too weird for me at parts. I still think Stone Giants should have just been an Amon Tobin album with some of the good tracks from How Do You Live.
some of the album really feels like he's droning on a bit and being self-indulgent. i'm a sucker, though, it works for me cause i have been really enjoying his more ambient-ish turn lately
20 years later and this is still music from the future.
