Where can I get my ears around these instrumentals?

Still need to give the Essential Mix another listen. Is it confirmed Clapham Percussion Ensemble is T&E?

Eve of Destruction, The Universe Sent Me, and Catch Me I'm Falling instrumentals are bonus downloads with the 3xLP version. I don't have a clue where the Free Yourself instrumental came from, probably originally available from non-public DJ music services / outlets.

I thought it was just gonna be me and MFC 83 banging the drum for Clapham Percussion Ensemble  (see what I did there? banging the drum?) No one else seemed too interested at first...

Well if you're gonna count that, then maybe you should count the EMS Slde by Clapham Synthesizer Ensemble from the Annie Mac Moments Mix...

Speaking of things on mixes, on the Essential mix, immediately before the instrumental of The Universe Sent me is "And Dance (https://www.discogs.com/Sharif-Laffrey-And-Dance/release/11855675)" by Sharif Laffrey. But the name seems to have changed slightly (on the BBC website), because when i copied the tracklist on to Notepad on Saturday, I copied the words:
"Rar vs Sharif Laffrey - And Dance x Arp Pulse x SP12 Cow Bell Decisions"

I don't have the imagination to come up with that myself (EDIT: Csar has that on his PDF too). If we remove the words "vs Sharif Laffrey - And Dance" we have: Rar ... Arp Pulse x SP12 Cow Bell Decisions.
There are indeed some cowbells coming in as the track toys with mixing into TUSM. I guess I could be getting a little anal here, and it depends on how far you want to take it. But I think you've probably covered all the important stuff WN.

androidgeoff's Joke Songs that should totally actually exist:

-The house edit of No Geography, a la Snooprah, Yhpargoeg On

-The healthy snack edit of Problem/Question, the Danimals Track

-The Multiverse Sent Me, and 1,000 Other Me's

-It's So Nasty

Eve of Destruction (3xLP unmixed)
Bango (3xLP unmixed)
Are you sure they are unmixed? I have the vinyl, don't have anything to play it but the digital download from the LP has the tracks mixed just like in the other releases.

"Rar vs Sharif Laffrey - And Dance x Arp Pulse x SP12 Cow Bell Decisions"

Rar = Rolands Audio Research
Arp = ARP 2600 (or another ARP instrument, but they use the 2600 a lot)
SP12 = E-mu SP12 sampling drum machine

So it's a "not quite a remix, but we messed with it a bit" version

Well Eve mixes into Bango digitally, as you say. But Eve is the only track on Side A of the triple vinyl, which means that neither track can mix into (or out of) the other. Presumably.

It turned out to be Basa Basa African Soul Power Parts 1 & 2, I guess "chemically"  edited for their DJ sets. I suppose we don't count this as more than a Chemical DJ edit (and the same could be said for the RAR/ Sharif Laffrey thing), but maybe people would like to argue about that!

Sure, but I doubt they (un)edited the tracks just for that

The bongos kinda connect both tracks. You think they just did a crude cut?
Also if you wanna send me your vinyl, I'll rip it for you slightly too slow (and then get WN to fix it!)  :)

Just listened to side A on the triple vinyl. I can confirm Eve of Destruction keeps the bongos and at the point of the cut there is an explosion sound effect.

EDIT - Bango has a different intro, a small bit before the bongos kick in.

Can't wait until later in the era when we have to add like one track they did for the opening of Universal Studios Nintendo Land or whatever

April 23rd I'm being told, for my CD. Do you think we have any grounds to complain and get sent the flac/wavs of the Japanese bonus tracks for our troubles?

Bango, here's our class-action suit!

You've got to try! Last time it worked when they mislabled the bonus tracks for the deluxe version and then sent download links for those to make up for that lapse.

I keep hearing about original versions of NG tracks that were different compared to their album version, such as Eve Of Destruction, and I'm curiosity if there any video/audio of these?

There's a clip of Eve (at about 1:55)
https://forum.thechembase.com/index.php/topic,739.msg12738.html#msg12738

And Hstn (https://forum.thechembase.com/index.php/topic,739.msg12739.html#msg12739) posted a link of a longer recording, too.

Now that I listen to it again, it's really interesting to hear how this thing has evolved over time. Being a spoiled fanboy, I wished they had included that alternative/ early version of EoD rather than the rather pointless extended mix of GTKO.

Post by: Stefan on Apr 28, 2019, 10:00
I've now listened to the DJ bootlegs of EoD for the first time, and have to say that I clearly prefer the album version.

Nasty Xylophone is a Chemical Brothers track and nobody will convince me otherwise.

I've extracted the song from the essential mix, if you want the file write me a PM. I could also share the link here, not sure if this is o.k. though.
My audio editing skills are pretty much nonexistent, so don't expect anything spectacular, at the end I just did a simple fade out.

Does anyone here have this Radio Edit? I couldn't find in any site (including SLSK). If someone have it, please, give me a link. You'll help me so much.

In contribution with this site, here is the single (?) version of EOV 4:42. It's digital, not vinyl rip. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Procrastinating from work by updating the list with the Loving You Mix and formatting it a bit.

This'll probably (?) be the last of the NG era, unless the Chems do those extra extended mixes they talked about in passing - always a chance they do something for another charity.
