I solved it. Our mod cannot embed any tweet with an emoji in it.  >:(

^sigh^....

We'll see if we can repair this.

Skream's remix is better than the original. There; I said it. And I meant it.

The Skream remix is nine minutes long according to Annie Mac. Hear about seven minutes of it (with talking, alas) here from 52 minutes:  BBC RADIO 1 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b065s55d)

I am personally incredibly underwhelmed by the remix. I am a fan of Skream, too.

Oh Skream. How you made the biggest change in my mind from your past to your future. I hated anything he had to do with the dubstep scene. And the fact that he crossed over brilliantly to house and techno makes me so happy.

My thoughts on the remix...Yes. Quite nice.

Ben J said yesterday on Youtube:

should be released with other remixes of SIFSD yeah. I don't know when though

I do! IT'S OUT MOTHAFUCKERS!  Came out Friday:
Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B014M0GMA0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_d_detailpage_o00_)
Beatport (https://pro.beatport.com/track/sometimes-i-feel-so-deserted-skream-remix/7036467)

No sign of other remixes.

BTW why have Amazon given me the DL in 278 kbps quality instead of 320? My settings on their annoying Music Player bollox are set to "High Quality".

Ed just re-tweeted this.  I wonder if it could be another Deserted remix.

EDIT: It is indeed Deserted.
Hmm. I don't think I'm gonna like this more than the Skream mix. Jump to 01.50.35. It's a bit more techno-y I guess. Probably works just  fine with the volume up.

Pretty boring. Where are remixes like the Bloody Beetroots' take on Dissolve or Boys Noize's version of Swoon? These Deserted remixes turned a rather 'unconventional' dance track (by todays EDM standards) into a more or less conventional one. There was something to Skream's try but it ended up being somehow uneventful, and thus, with its 9 minutes way too long.

There's a major error in your "fix". Maybe you can spot it yourself ;) :P

You can purchase the Skream remix on Qobuz.com
http://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/sometimes-i-feel-so-deserted-the-chemical-brothers/0060254756095

With your purchase, you can choose FLAC or WAV or 320 MP3... one price, download it as many times in as many formats as you want.
I love Qobuz, my favorite download site to buy music from and they have a lossless streaming service.

Go Remixes are up as well.

Re the C2 Trigger remix of Deserted, I've just noticed something about the times.
The version I downloaded from Amazon was 9.50 (or 9.49 according to Discogs (https://www.discogs.com/The-Chemical-Brothers-Sometimes-I-Feel-So-Deserted-C2-Trigger-Rmx/release/7692252))

However the version in the video in my post above (see previous page) is about 10.22 long. And indeed according to the Discogs listing (https://www.discogs.com/The-Chemical-Brothers-Born-In-The-Echoes-Japan-Special-Edition/release/9088162) for CD2 of the Japan Tour edition it is timed at 10.22.

It seems to be mostly longer in the intro section, with the vocal coming in around 2.46 on the video above, as opposed to 2.30 on the download. And then on the end section where the track goes silent around 8.18 (short version) or 8.34 (longer version), I think the beats come back in quicker on the shorter version, and so the outro section is a bit shorter too.

I'm presuming that this 2CD BITE is therefore the first time that the 10.22 version of this track has been commercially available. Maybe y'all didn't notice 'cause you just ripped it from youtube.  :D
