I've never looked at a list of them all in one. It's impressive. And tough to order. But...

I haven't heard BITE yet so I can't speak for how well SIFSD works as an opener.
And the rest of the list is very much down to how well the track sets up the rest of the album for me. As in, when I hear CWU I immediately want to hear the rest of the album. Which is why the obviously excellent older tunes are so low down. They work better (for me) as standalone tracks and doesn't necessarily add to the narrative of the album by being first. Though I'm saying that now and not exactly agreeing with myself.
VERY TOUGH.
In terms of straight up how much I love the song. Swap Snow and Galvanize at the bottom there.

Every one is a great opening track for its respective album and era. Some are stronger because they are opening tracks, such as No Path To Follow/WATN or Snow. As soon as the first :01 seconds of Snow comes on, it puts me in the mood for Further. Others, like Music Response, sound good on any playlist at any time.

Come with us is definitely the best experience i have had of hearing a new track when they dj'd. The album wasnt due out for yonks and they played cream and started with that and the roof nearly came off, they teased it for ages, my wife still says she's never seen me smile wider than that.

I kinda think of No Path to Follow as a part of We Are the Night.
Not counting No Path to Follow just cause it's short and ambient is like not couting Harpoons... and Harpoons is awesome.
Also, I don't know a whole lot about Chem history, but I got the impression that Block Rockin Beats is really revered. Just hearing the audience reaction when it played at the end of Don't Think, which was the first time I'd ever heard the song, it was like "Whoah, everyone just went crazy!" It probably doesn't look good that I place it so low, but what can I say, I really love all these songs!
Yeah Block Rockin Beats is HUGE! You must be young. Off the top of my head it was their second UK No 1 single.

really thought SIFSD would get more love than this but i guess its not stood time test yet, i think its a fucking amazing statement of intent. love it.
never had that much love for leave home, i remember it getting panned when it came out as the first chems single in the press, maybe cos they knew it would sell or just lazy journalism but compared to some of the previous dust brothers releases its not as good but have grown to love it a bit more.
