Title: I'll See You There
Post by: hstn on Jun 30, 2015, 22:25
In all honesty I don't think it gets more Chemical than this. Whirling synths, crazy drums, screeching, definitely pure Chemical Bros.

The visuals doe.

The song + visuals is one of the best parts of the show. I like the art direction for this tour. Very... theatrical!

it sounds a bit like a Chems remix of Oasis -  Falling Down

Yeah, it does sound like the remix was something they revisited.

The visuals doe. (does anyone think this was originally Here Comes The Drums? It sounds like something that could've been on Come With Us)

That part where only the break is playing  also made me think "hmm....I wonder if that part was originally here come the drums?......nah!"

No. "Saturate" is "Here Come The Drums". "Dissolve" is "Here Come The Drums". Or maybe "Don't Think" it is, it too have heavy drums.

Such a fantastic track. Just this and EML Ritual are enough reasons that the album will be amazing.

So, what about that unreleased track?

This was also called Here Come The Drums on the New Comprehensive List thread on the old forum.

Read a couple of reviews that said this song was similar to The Beatles Tomorrow Never Knows, and it's the first thing I thought of when I listened to the album. Great track.

Following on from the Pitchfork review on the "Articles..." thread, the vocal for I'll See You There is taken from crazy Canadian poet Bill Blissett (& Dennis Corney's) album Unmatching Phenomena 1 (http://www.discogs.com/Bill-Bissett-Dennis-Cornies-Unmatching-Phenomena-1/release/3584373), track 10: Th Ground is a Prspektiv. You can hear a bit of it on itunes or Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0034RQM8U). But I think you'll have to buy the track to hear the actual sample.

This.

Although they have took influence from that track a few times now. All good though.

sequel to "Setting Sun" which is the sequel to "Tomorrow Never Knows" with the sample working as some sort of doppleganger to the mantra of "Across The Universe."  Or something.

Those drums and backwards(?) noises though...

This is the most DYOH like song that isn't on DYOH. I "understand" the song structure at this point. They should play Rize Up after this song, live, instead of Believe... or Just Bang. Just Bangggggggg!!!!!!

This track just brought back every reason I fell in love with the chems 20 years ago. How great is it to still have that beautiful sound coursing through your brain?

Honestly this entire album is amazing.

the vocal samples are heavily limited with a slow release, possibly even coupled with some of the other ambient noises too. but yeah definitely reversed

Listening  to what sounds to me like those old ground bloom fireworks going off during the drum fills are my favorite parts when I heard this monster live.  :o

The vocal sample at the beginning reminded me a lot of the Chico's Groove sample "well, gee, I just don't know what's going on". I checked whether it could be it but it's not.

Apart from that, damn, there's so much going on in that track! So much actually that I'm tempted to say well, gee, I just don't know what's going on

This was a track I didin't know when I heard it live. I thought it was a big mess. But now it's obe of my favourite tracks of the new album. I love the beatlesesqeu sound, i love the drums and the drop, the vocal sample is just right, it's a very psychedelic dance track. I can see the people from the pictures of Exit planet dus and Dig your own hole booklets get their freaky dance on on this track.

It's most beautiful as a big mess. I hope they keep it around for their next album's tour.

I love Elektrobank into ISYT for this tour. The percussive nature of the Elektrobank riff + the live ISYT beginning sample into its Eastern-theory-inspired synth work so well together. Then.... BANG DRUM ROLL DRUM ROLL DRUM ROLL BANG DRUM ROLL DRUM ROLL DRUM ROLL black note synth. Yeaaaaah

Oh man. Thank for posting the Slacker Scared video. I've been trying to remember the the name of that song for ages to search for it. And now that sample they used is in Ill see you there. Crazy. That Mathew Dear video was a good find too. That main girl even has a beauty spot on her cheek as well even the minor details odd.
