Thanks to the Live at the Social Volume 1 compilation, the collector in me had to purchase the other Live at the Social CDs. And it was on Andrew Weatherall's mix that this timeless beauty first dripped into my ears.

a lot

They are mainly responsible for my deeper interest in just about everything with music and especially electronic music.

I hate to get all sappy, but when I became one with their music, it was life changing. Not in the sense that it saved my life (maybe it did, I don't know), but my attitude on things changed a lot.

Probably not the answer you were looking for, sorry.

But yeah, to keep it simple...

Spiritualized

Probably an obvious one, but both "Brothers Gonna Work It Out"s, which are lovely tunes:

Big time. Easily one of my favourite bands and it was the Chems mix that got me there. Was really special to see Spritualized right before the Chems at All Points East last year.

Like Bosco says a lot. Not their Electronic peers but the folky, indie stuff for their collaborations, remixes like:

Beth Orton
Trespassers William
I Break Horses
Willy Mason
Mercury Rev
