Hi all, resurrecting the old thread.
Here you can share the list or pics or the other stuff about your Chems collection on CD/Vinyl.
For example, recently I was convinced that not always you should trust to 100% positive seller on Discogs.
This was selled as "Mint":
Although "Show me what you have" is 100% correct English, somehow "Show me what you've got" works better as a thread title. Can't explain why, really. Although the fact that it reminds me of Gimme What You Got by Black Daniel (Alex Metric mix) might have something to do with it. :)
Anywaaay...I can't tell from your picture if the white looking mark towards the top of the box is a reflexion (chemical spelling!) or if it's damaged artwork. If it is damaged artwork then yes, they told you a porkie pie (that's 'lie' in cockney slang); send it back and tell him he's a shitbag! If it is a reflexion (chemical spelling), then it doesn't look too bad.
In other news. I may have something that technically none of the rest of you might have. Although musically speaking, there's nothing to get excited about. This particular version of BITE doesn't seem to be listed on Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Chemical-Brothers-Born-In-The-Echoes/master/861123). Too bad I didn't receive this a couple of months sooner: Promo CDr.

Sadly it's not reflexion (chemical spelling), it's damaged sleeve. I think they tried to remove sticker with price and damaged it.
Good news, it's just 5 bucks with shipping.
Aaaand another good news, today my little japanese arrived (i did a really late order):

Cool! You should contribute it to discogs.
I think I've noticed a couple of possible errors in the white booklet that comes with the Japanese CD .
On the lyric sheet for Direct Buki it says "Killer Beat y'all", but we know that it's sampled from LL Cool J's Feel the Beat. So I think someone has that lyric wrong.
Also on the other side, the "Ultra Perfect Biography" may not be so ultra perfect. Go to 2012 and it says "Now You See Me". The rest is in Japanese, but unless it says "the Chems pulled out of doing the soundtrack", then I think there could be a mistake there. Anyone here speak Japanese?

Haha, there are errors in every song lyrics, except Reflexion ;D

Nice pic. What's that cd between the Do it again single and the Sunday times compilation? That looks unfamilliar to me
And I guess the cd directly under the Sunday times compilation is the live anti nazi mix promo?

I have a nice collection with various lovely things but I just don't have it in me right now to drag out my t shirts, cd's, poster flats, etc. as everything is in its own place - but not all is in one single place.
So here's a picture of my Organic Festival tickets. My first Chems gig that never was. I posted this on the last forum. My dog since ate the unsigned ticket (true story) but the signed one lives on! We had Tom and Ed sign it many years after the fact. And got a giggle out of Tom while we were at it.

Joslyn,
It's the cover itself that is really shiny on the '03 compilation, it doesn't have a plastic wrapper. BTW I need to get something to protect the cover, but the boxset is so huge that no record plastic sleeve works.

Aw man, I wish I could say I was a fan since day 1! I heard of the Chemical Brothers, and heard their music here and there - but my husband and I went to the rave to see other acts. I ended up with a bad case of altitude sickness and we bailed early, before the Chems. I really didn't start getting seriously into their music until 1998/1999 and when I think about having blown my chance to see them way, way back when. I wonder how nerdy I'd be now. :D

Yeah, it's a mix of big beat and trip hop tunes. Some good 90's artists on there too: Crystal Method, Lemon Interupt (Underworld), Portishead, Hip Optimist, Prodigy, Red Snapper, Nightmares On Wax, Pressure Drop, DJ Food, Funki Porcini, Sabres of Paradise etc etc
The Trip Hop albums have the following Chems tunes:
My Mercury Mouth
Let Me In Mate
Sabres of paradise - Tow Truck (Chems Remix)
Charlatans - Chemical Risk (Chems Remix)

Toxic, those rarities are amazing. I never knew that Star Guitar Promo existed (that is a mini CD-R, right?)
Does anybody have any unique stories where they picked up some of these rare items, or are they just coming from ebay/online shopping?

The Strictly Limited Edition I got on eBay in 2000 for waaaaaaay to much money, and the star shaped promo I found it on a record fare in the Netherlands in Utrecht. This is a HUGE record fair twice a year, and I just always go there. I always take my Chemical Brothers record bag (a promo bag with the release of Surrender I think) with me to put my new vinyl in. Jeez, i'm a real chemical nerd :-\

In Paris there are a few shops where you can find promo items. I got a lot of promos from there, around the PTB era (2005/2006). It's more rewarding and exciting to find a Galvanize green promo from browsing the crates of a shop rather than via an eBay search

Very envious of your collection, especially the strictly limited edition. I've seen those SG cd's at least twice in the last 5 years on ebay.
Any of you have the chemical brothers chocolate bar? ;)
I presume no one here has the Wipeout 2097 version of Dust Up Beats on vinyl. So instead here's something I haven't seen in any of your pics so far: The game itself. Box is cracked and I'm not sure where to get a replacement. I don't even play games. Just got this because it plays in my CD player. My PC wouldn't actually rip the audio from it, so I ended up ripping it from YT for MP3 purposes.

I can't be bothered to cobble together my collection for a big pic, but here are some other Chemical related items that don't seem to feature too much in other pics.

The CD on the bottom right is a promo of Tom's RAR mix of I Break Horses, Hearts. The record in the middle is Klaxons' Love Frequency (Tom remix). The main label on the Klaxons 12" sleeve is white writing on silver which doesn't photograph too well. I guess you'll know the others.

I presume no one here has the Wipeout 2097 version of Dust Up Beats on vinyl.
I've got the soundtrack of wipeout on vinyl, but there's only loops of fury and Leave Home (underworld remix) on it. Is there another version? Nice ps1 game btw, I like "the Designers Republic" design style..

Well I just meant, I presume no one here has one of the 50(?) copies of My Mercury Mouth (http://www.discogs.com/Dust-Brothers-My-Mercury-Mouth-EP/master/806285) that had the "Wipeout version" of Dust Up Beats on it - as discussed today by WN and Pumisher on the B-sides poll thread.
ok got it, I didn't read that yet... What was it again with that version. Different beginning, ending, length? I got three of them laying around here but never took the time to listen and find the difference...
Go to WN's thread on this in the FAQ section now!! You have three copies of the My Mercury Mouth vinyl? Give 'em a spin. If any of them have a different version of Dust Up Beats, you have a true rarity.

Haha you sound just like me!!! Except for the strictly limited edition and the star shaped star guitar. But the Chemical Brothers record bag and de Mega Platen en CD beurs I regonize all too well :)

I have both versions on vinyl but I never knew it only has 50 copies??!! And I discussed it on the old forum that I find it strange thta the "wipe out" version (which was also played live) is the discarded one. I like that obe much better.

Played them both (I thought I had three) and both are the non wipeout version. At least I just saw my two different black and white versions of Fourteenth Century Sky, still made me smile :)

Haha that's the last thing I'm hunting for. I have a weird 14th century sky. The label says JBO Collect 003 which is 'Mmm Skyscraper I love you´ by Underworld but the record actually is JBo Collect 004, the Dust Brothers 14th century sky

Those 50 could be anywhere on this earth. Maybe if Tom or Ed has a spare.
I wonder what the reason was for only 50 copies? Change of heart? Or maybe the rest were caught in a fire (I also heard a similar story related to the strictly limited edition CD)

Ok, just extracted the mpg and exe from the Surrender Australian bonus disc. Unfortunately I think this is just the normal OOC video that is now well known since the 93-03 Singles DVD was released, but I'm sure in 1999 it was quite a treat!

Whirls, do you still have this huge selfmade Star Guitar collage hanging you made for Tower Records?
No... Sadly I do not. The piece was so large and cumbersome, with many individually cut, layered and delicate pieces - it barely survived the move I did in 2009. It got dropped removing it from my wall so one corner was pretty much destroyed. In an effort to protect it, I triple shrink wrapped the entire thing so as to keep all the pieces intact. It was far too large for any walls in my last apartment, so I held onto it and placed it in storage with all the other things I didn't have room for. Finally when we moved into our house nearly two years ago I pulled it out of storage hoping to hang it in my new garage/office/studio. But it was a lost cause. The entire thing was warped from the shrink wrap and having been in storage settled amongst my other crap for too long. It was sad seeing it go, but it had an awesome run and it was one of my most favorite things I've ever created. When I retire and or when I have marathon amounts of time to make something like that again, I'd like to make another piece just like it.

Yeah I was pretty sad, but it wasn't something that could easily be repaired. I mean, it was banged up when it went into storage, and thrashed when I pulled it out of storage. I do have pics of it thankfully (one in one of my photo albums on my Facebook) and a couple buried somewhere in my photobucket account.

I know, the rules forbid stalking and that sort of thing but I liked it so much, I've kept a pic of it for all these years.
I was one of the lucky few to have paid homage to that fantastic piece of artwork. It truly was awesome. Damn shame it's no longer around.
Aww...so sweet!I am really touched, you guys... :)
Hey , . . loving the Star Guitar collage , . . thanks for posting the pic , . . i was wondering what it looked like .
I was just heading out from home in my car in 2002 when I heard a competition on the radio to win signed Chemical Brothers stuff , it was the Steve Lamacq evening show on Radio 1 (uk) , I pulled over and phoned the number to enter the competition. Couldn't believe it , got straight through , spoke to the Radio 1 team and Steve Lamacq. To win i had to complete the blanked out vocals on Hey Boy Hey Girl . . . not too hard then. I won signed cd , album & album artwork screen print , . . good times :music

That's awesome! Good story for that bit of memorabilia.
Did they do limited edition screen prints for most of their releases (ala the Born in the Echoes lithograph that comes with the 3LP)?
Hi, New to the forums.
I have a Facebook page to keep track of my collection. There are currently 238 CDs, vinyls, cassettes, etc. in my collection. The page is arranged by album including photos of the front and backs of each item along with serial numbers. May be a good reference resource for other collectors too.

Quite a collection you have there! You don't have by any chance a promo of Old Git (http://www.discogs.com/Chemical-Brothers-Old-Git/release/3011786) (now known as Spring) with the instrumentals of Left Right and the Boxer?
No, not yet. That's a pretty rare one and I haven't seen it for sale anywhere.
I though I share this but It finally came in today! It feels really sturdy, Almost feels like a clipboard. Its from 2008, and no catalog number for it.

2. Factual evidence that someone actually bought The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Pt. 1 Soundtrack CD
YES!!! I finally got it today. Whopee!!!
No pic to prove it (which could be a photoshop thing) but I got some interesting info from the booklet.
1) This is not a game is written by Tom Rowlands, Miquel and Lorde. So no Ed on the writing credits. The track is produced by the Chemical Brothers. Does that mean that both had hands on the production or could it be a Tom solo production.
2) I love Lorde's track Flicker Beat. On the album is a Kanye West rework. The (Lorde) vocals for that track are recorded at Rowlands Audio Research.
Added to the collection
New Order - Here to stay promo with Here to stad (extended instrumental)
Beth Orton - Anywhere promo with Daybreaker (instrumental)
Recently picked up Brotherhood and a 12" of both Sasha remixes of Out Of Control (the latter was a $1.99)
I recently acquired this extremely rare nugget which I am over the moon about!
https://www.discogs.com/The-Chemical-Brothers-The-Chemical-Brothers-/release/9115759
Be proud of it. This is more rare than Nicolas Cage acting.
Doing some spring cleaning today, came across the only two magazines that have made it through multiple purges, plus this unauthorized book bought off ebay in the early '00s, "Done and Dusted"
Makes me think of some of the other stuff I had and left behind in a few moves - Surrender mouse pad for example..
Curious about that done and dusted? Never saw that one before. Gotta look into that!
I have a mixmag with the chems cover with the acid clown. I also need to frame that damn litho after the first frame broke.
Never pulled the trigger on that surrender mousepad. There's still one lurking on eBay I think.
Happy to post some photos or scans if anyone's interested and the guidelines allow. Considering the book is already "100% unofficial" I'm not really if that's alright or not.
The writing is pretty dreadful but there are likely to be some early/mid 90s photos people will be interested in.
These have been with me for over two decades and keeps on growing - though many of these mags have gone under due the Internet and lack of interest in news print...
On the subject of the "Done & Dusted" book. This is a 100% unofficial book published back in the late 90s and has quite a few photos and a very basic bio of the boys. Mine is still in mint condition as I purchased it when it was released back then and only opened the once or twice. Great memories (and feeling rather old).

nice collection you got there WL! I miss print media alot these days but anything chems related arouses my interest. the mag interviews, where they came from ,where theyre going, thoughts on music trends in the past, the shape of their ever changing music, etc. making comparisons from what they said back then til now.
I think some of your collections might have a pdf version out on the interwebs, but I always enjoy someone sharing their love for the band thru some collection of sorts.
I do have that copy of mixmag of the clown! sundays are good for reading after all!

Loops of fury EP was found Factory Wrapped in mint condition, snatched it in a heartbeat
Bought Used versions of Singles 93-03 and further at a CD-World last weekend.
Singles was $4 since it was missing Disk 2 and the back has a huge ugly crack. (I knew I should've grabbed the other copy for 10).
Further was $10 but the disk is like New.
and finally No Geography, received this morning from Amazon

Nice!
Starting a chems collection is a beautiful thing. Next thing you know, You need more space to put them somehwere! ;D Good to see fanbase showing off their goods!
Dude. You need to come to Portland at some point. I see CWU at Everyday Music for 5 bucks every time I visit. Not to mention a bunch of singles (you need Music:Response for your collection, no arguments).
I even saw PTB with the free sticker last week!!
There's a bunch of other record stores around too, and Chems stuff is usually pretty reasonably priced when it's used. Everyday Music has a 'skuff' section with cds for $2, all of which are totally playable too.
I'm having a bit of a Chems catalog Sunday. Thought I would pull out everything and take a snap to share. Most of these are official releases that I've been collecting since 1998. I wanted to exclude anything that I have that's not official (i.e. Live album bootlegs and unofficial mixes). I did however include a white label of Africa (that's what's on the label). It holds a special place in my heart. It was given to me by a local DJ who use to work at a local record shop. I saw him one weekend at a rave spinning the track and the next week I went into the shop and asked him what it was. He handed me the record and I was like.... sweet, a white label Chems track. Later on I realized it was a fake. Including my vinyl in one pic, then the other pic is my CD, DVD, and VHS collection (realize the VHS is not official).
I'm currently in the midst of packing for a move to Vancouver. I knew that somewhere around my place was these posters but couldn't remember where they ended up. Finally found them behind boxes and hockey sticks (the Canadian equivalent to in the couch...sorry...sofa cushions).
First is the poster from the screening of Don't Think in my hometown (which turns out actionjackson and Metta were at right behind me...with all 5 other people in the theatre). My mate was the local promo rep for paramount pictures at the time and managed to track it down from the theatre manager before they tossed it out. The second pic is the stub from the screening. I put it in the jewel case of my original (heavily scratched) version of Come With Us knowing that I wouldn't play it again (I had a second copy by that time).
Third is the Olympia Lithogragh print from 2008. I think it's numbered 139/500 (I'll check when I get home tonight). Certain that I ordered it when made available on the web store post-gig. I know quite a few of you have it. Still was chuffed to find the gem during the clean up.
Fourth is a sticker set. Unsure when I picked it up. Possibly the Oakland '05 gig considering the CWU era designs and them selling potential overstock. I remember buying the Push The Button zip up hoodie at the gig. It also could have been from Fuji Rock '04 where I bought the 'kick ass' ebw 6 shirt (that is long gone now).
Now can someone tell me if this CWU Tour poster from '02 was included in the original vinyl set? I can't recall if I took it out and hung it on my wall for years or if it's an item I bought.
It folds out with the 'tour' side have a few other promo shots of tom & ed and the lyrics for The State We're In on one panel. The back side is the large Black/White '01-02 promo shot where we first saw Tom with short hair. (The following pic is not the poster, it's just the reference)
Also found the original ticket from the Oakland '05 gig in a photo album. I'll add more pics once I get home to provide better reference. I'll also throw up the elektrobank poster my sister put on foam board for Christmas one year.

I have those same stickers! I also forget where I got them. I feel like they were maybe included with the hoody I bought from the website? Or maybe I picked them up at a show in Brixton or something?? I know for sure they are plastered on my vinyl cases back in England though.
The rest of that little collection of yours is niiiiiiiice. I would LOVE some CWU era artwork to put up around all the places I exist.
Best of luck with the move!
I've never posted photos of my collection and it's overdue. I have primarily CDs, including (as far as I know):
- Every studio album (specifically the version with the most tracks, such as both Japanese versions of Born In The Echoes and the EBW version of Brotherhood.)
- At least one version of every physical single and EP through Push The Button, including all b-sides/remixes.
- A few DJ sets (studio and otherwise), although I think my In Glint and Dusted Decks aren't the real deal.
- A bunch of compilations and singles by other artists featuring their older remixes.
- DVDs for Don't Think and Singles (not pictured), and the Surrender Anniversary set.
I really wish they continued with physical releases of singles, but I'm also a dinosaur.
The highlight of my collection is a French promo bonus disc release from Dig Your Own Hole. Look at those tracks! I found it for a dollar or two in a used record shop some time ago. It's hard to find on Discogs because it's not titled : I had to search by cat #.

I would love to know if this is considered one of the rarer CDs.

Might have been answered before but curios why there was a promo for Not Another Drug Store in the first place. Same story could be asked for Where Do I Begin.
In the case of Not Another Drug Store, was it in conjunction with Brothers Gonna Work It Out?
Cool get by the way, Satur8.
Explud, nice Chems collection, but I love the row of elite Sega Genesis games even more!

Bosco - Thanks. Discogs says it came with some copies of Dig Your Own Hole in France, and yes, I also thought of the Brothers Gonna Work It Out connection. Who knows?
On another note, I just discovered that I don't have the Galvanize (Abe Duque Dub Remix) on disc. C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! This recap is making me consider seeking out the WATN singles, so maybe I'll also try to get one of the Galvanize CDrs in the process. I just hate spending $$$ on CDs and have to decide if a collection is worth it when I already have digital material...

It makes me think about creating a separate topic about it.
Maybe someone is also into retrogaming. I would really appreciate the help of forumites from the US to occasionally buy cool things.

Not sure about others, but I can talk a little retro gaming with you. I don't personally participate in collecting but occasionally I'll bust out the old consoles and try and relive the magic of yesteryear.
And you bring up a good idea, we should have some type of international swap thread. If there's any English speaking, Japanese resident, out there... you could be a very popular person in this regard.
Quote from: Bosco on Feb 25, 2021, 18:24In the case of Not Another Drug Store, was it in conjunction with Brothers Gonna Work It Out?
Bosco, speaking of Brothers Gonna Work It Out, there is another one of these French DYOH promos out there for Morning Lemon!
https://www.discogs.com/The-Chemical-Brothers-Dig-Your-Own-Hole/release/386282
Interesting. The break in connection is, Brothers Gonna Work It Out was released in 1998.
There was an old forum member (antype) who probably could answer the reasoning behind these promos. Maybe Whitenoise could chime in too. I know he is loaded with info to create a logical theory to answer something like this.
Ultimately, the reasoning is probably totally irrelevant.

I've never posted photos of my collection and it's overdue. I have primarily CDs, including (as far as I know):
The highlight of my collection is a French promo bonus disc release from Dig Your Own Hole. Look at those tracks! I found it for a dollar or two in a used record shop some time ago. It's hard to find on Discogs because it's not titled : I had to search by cat #.
I would love to know if this is considered one of the rarer CDs.
Long time no see Satur8! I never heard about this CD before. That's pretty cool that a promo of B-sides actually exist. I cant really say that your CD is 'strictly limited edition' rare, but I will say that's an awesome find.
But I'm kind of wondering why the bros would put out this particular promo CD when those songs are not even on the album. Maybe the French were originally suppose to get NAD and TBAMFB on their version of DYOH but the Chems changed their minds?

This recap is making me consider seeking out the WATN singles, so maybe I'll also try to get one of the Galvanize CDrs in the process. I just hate spending $$$ on CDs and have to decide if a collection is worth it when I already have digital material...
Lolz! Your recap has made me consider doing a recap for myself. Might as well catch up on my collection since were stuck in Covid times. Found some cool discounts on Cd promos for the Surrender and CWU era.
My collection is similar to yours:
- Every studio album
- At least one version of every physical single and EP through Push The Button, including all b-sides/remixes.
Oh and Satur8, you forgot to mention your beloved Elektrobank poster!

I wish someone knew more about it. Maybe it was an early version testing bonus track exclusives (like they do for Japan), or maybe it was an additional DYOH pressing released just prior to Brothers Gonna Work It Out. I still can't believe I found it sitting there at a bargain bin price!
Quote from: inchemwetrust on Mar 01, 2021, 08:58Oh and Satur8, you forgot to mention your beloved Elektrobank poster!
Sadly, I don't think this was me. I have a few other items like shirts, decals, a mousepad, and even a nite-lite, but no poster. If it was me, DAMN, I was way high and lost it years ago.

No idea if it's worth 5 Sterling, because it seems to be not so common in british record stores to let people listen to records before buying. I mean, c'mon it clearly is in used condition, how about puting one or two 1200 in a corner an let people check the quality (scratches? noises?)
I was digging through old tour shirts looking for something for an upcoming show (not chems related) when I stumbled on this.
that tour they were screenprinting the back of shirts at each show, each city had its own lyric.

Is that true? I totally can't remember because I failed to get the screen print done in Chicago. I was so wrapped up in excitement for my first Chems show, I totally missed out this was happening. It didn't help the screen printing was located away from merch booth.
I did snag one of the Microsoft Zune sponsored US Tour posters though!
Not to steal your thunder, but I got the San Francisco shirt screen print too! I've actually never worn mine. ;D
@whitelabel84 Amazing Strictly Limited Edition. I remember reading something from a very old forum member (anType), speak of some story where it was thought that in distribution there was an incident (fire?) which damaged majority of the copies.
Neat shoes too. Ugly, but very unique.
Would be amused if they tried limited edition shoes again and not as some promotion thing. Something with a little more appeal too. :P

Likely the most valuable and rarest piece in my collection. My understanding is this was self funded by Tom & Ed as their first Dust Brothers vinyl release. One side is DBS333, the flip is a hardcore number by PSI-Q Network who went halves on the pressing cost with them. The commerical 1992 release of Song to the Siren of course is single sided.

You're right. How could i not see that?
This week I recieved 'Born in the echoes' Japanese tour edition 2cd which completes my hunt for the 6 Japan releases of the last 6 albums with all the exclusive tracks available. Very happy with that. 🤩
Another Japanese addition to my collection is Klaxons 'Love Frequency' album on cd which includes the Tom Rowlands remix of the titel track as a bonus. 🥳
After reading the first couple of chapters of Paused in cosmic reflection I went on to complete my Ariel collection. This week I finalized it with having a record from every release. I already had the Atom 12", T-baby for the Dust Brothers remix and the 2 Ariel cd singles.
It's fun to see them hopping over 3 different labels over there 8 releases and original tracks are mainly found on promos. For example the Ariel - Sea of beats release only contains the Justin Robertson remixes of the track. You need the Atom POW release to get the original version. Also on the back of the sleeve it says "Big thanks to the 237 Gaff (The men who make the mayhem at 'most excellent')" which refers to multiple Ariel/Chemical Brothers history. Although I don't understand what 'Gaff' means in this sentence.
Why does everybody have a collection I'm extremely jealous of? I only have, like, 6 Chems CDs (but I'm planning to get many, many, MANY more)
Thought I'd share my Surrender collection that I posted to my Insta to celebrate the 25th anniversary the other week

Finally have Snooprah physical!
@rynostar at which record stores have you been shopping? I am in London end of the month and know the regular Rough Trade and Phonica. But if I could find half of your score it would be a succesfull hunt.

Found those at Phonica and Notting Hill Exchange. Both RT locations were good as well (East and west). I looked through the Discogs for Notting Hill Exchange prior to heading there for the salmon dance 7". The guy upstairs had to go into the back to find it.

I had no idea this was something that could be done. Genius.

Here is the link (https://www.discogs.com/seller/souldance100/profile) under their old Soul and Dance Exchange name.

It looks like you cleared them out on all things Chemical Brothers. Thanks a lot. ;D

On the last two trips, I did purposefully leave quite a few Chems items on the shelves already in my possession or the I couldn't carry home (read as couldn't afford). There was a number of CD singles still there.
Finding UK CD singles was a new hunt for on those trips. Have most of the North America Astralwerks releases. Still hoping to find a Cassette (Album or Single) in the wild one day.

My Mercury Mouth (https://www.discogs.com/de/release/6741923-The-Dust-Brothers-My-Mercury-Mouth-EP) EP with the early version of Dust Up Beats (https://forum.thechembase.com/index.php/topic,309.msg3255.html#msg3255) would be something
Edit:
Talking about MMM with the eventualy replaced version of DUB => only 50 copys where made before changing to another version of DUB. But on discogs an amazing amount of 13 copys are available right now (click) (https://www.discogs.com/de/release/6820886-The-Dust-Brothers-My-Mercury-Mouth-EP), and they are not even expensive (well most of them). Do you boys and girls and siblings think at least one of them is the real deal? It's high up on my wantlist, but i don't want to buy my third copy with the newer version...
I found AMERICANEP at Goodwill for $2 a couple days ago. It's like I summoned it or something
You guys! Hi hi! I'm so excited to have picked up a couple of Chems things in the wild during a quick trip to London a few days ago! I wasn't able to do much record shopping while there, but
@Joslyn kindly gave me a couple of great leads and told me to check a couple of shops. At Sister Ray in Soho I picked up JBO Dust Brothers My Mercury Mouth EP and Ariel Sea of Beats. Then down the way at Reckless records I had an unexpected bonus when checking a bin of random 90's electronic, and scored a dub plate Chems mix of Dave Clark's No One Is Driving (pictured) Included in the sleeve was a handwritten note on Deconstruction letterhead. It just adds to the treasures! ;D

Chicago connection! Reckless Records in London brought their brand to Chicago and has a chain of 3 stores in Chicago proper for quite awhile now. Can't say I've ever come across something as awesome as you did...
Great score, Whirly!

Ask the seller to send an audio clip. Or, what I did when I found a seller in the Netherlands, I phoned up the seller, and he put the record on so I could hear that it was the right version. Most of the sellers just put their versions for sale in the wrong section. 99,9 % of those available are the newer version... (that's how I ended up with three records of the newer version). Good luck!

Love it! Kind of dumb I didn't spot that one. However, I was hoping to find 1 particular album in London and it was staring right at me from a glass cabinet at Reckless. The 4cd superdeluxe edition of Beaucoup Fish. Look at these beauties together. I should have got the superdeluxe edition of Gish as well.
Added this to my collection
Shame about that sticker/label. Great pickup though!
Hey, I actually have #0003 of Anti-Nazi mix, can anyone beat that for lowest?
#0001 and #0002 are Ed and Tom for sure ;D
Nice Stefan 👌👌 Such a great, early mix and interview.
