I am working on completing their discography.
There was a website once which had all the remixes on it, planet dust or something like that, but I can't find it anymore.
Old forum member AnType had a very complete list but I haven't seen him on the forum for a very long time.
I have an extensive list of remixes of my collection which I haven't updated sice the Push the Button era I guess. So it's not complete but it's a good place to start.
I edited this post. With all the tracks below I think I've collected all the Chemical Brothers remixes excluded edit versions and de MSP record. Latest addtions wil be in bold. There is a clip from an interview where Tom sees remixed tracks as a track from the remixer. ie Life is Sweet (Daft Punk remix) is a Daft Punk track, Everything must Go (Chems remix) is a Chemical Brothers track.
I've you've got a track not listed here please let me know in a reply and I will added it to the list. Enjoy your hunting.

There was one with a MASSIVE table of all the samples as well. I've been looking for that for ages. I thought I bookmarked it but apparently not.
I think I remember that website, since I had mp3s of the samples for things like the Hoops vocal.
Also that list is really helpful, since I was having a hard time figuring out what their earlier remixes were. I definitely have everything post PTB. THANKS!!!!
The Method Man Instrumental version I have is not instrumental... the vocals are just a tad quieter. Gotta find da real one yo
Did people know there are two versions of the Slow remix? I have one w/o the blippy synth, it just starts with Minogue singing. That version is not as wet as the one that comes on the one Remix CD package.
For the St. Etienne remix, is the Chekhov Warp Dub the same as the one called Chemical Brothers Remix?

Nope! I have the 12" single, which did sound a little different to the horrendously edited down version on the compilation I downloaded a few months back. I could never find a decent rip of the proper version. Love it though.

St. Etienne - Like a Motorway has 2 remixes, Chekhov Warp Mix and Chekhov Warp Dub. The Dub mix is more common and IMO better than the mix which includes St. Etiennes vocals.
St. Etienne - Like a Motorway (chemical brothers mix), which can be found on the Chemical Reaction compilation. That mix in the Chekhov Warp Dub.
Be renaming the mixes on the compilation it's understandingly confusing which remix is which. But I think the vocal mix hasn't surfaced on any compilation and can only be found on the 12" promo. I haven't checked this, Discogs is your friend :)
edit: I added the vocal mix to the list. I'll be updating the list in the coming days with all the remixes I have (and if I have done my collecting right) that will be all of them. As far as I know I'm only missing a physical of copy of Boys Noize XTC.

Which compilation do you have? Remixes 6 has the right mix on it as does NWE awards 2004 (of which I have one to spare)

The Dub version is really good. I listened to it 5 or so times yesterday.

I got the 12" and I think it's the only way to get it but I found a cassete as well. I think any compilation on cd you will buy is the Chekhov Warp Dub. But you will have to buy all the compilations to hear it for yourself :P
I got it for completion of the collections. If you love the Chekhov Warp Dub I think you will be disapointed by the Chekhov Warp Mix. I like the original St. Etienne song better than that. The vocal doesn't work in the mix
Today I bought the Ariel T-Baby promo, Swordfish Missing Factor vinyl, and Sandals Feet CD on ebay. woopwoop
Wow the Chemical Risk Dub is so much more interesting than the regular remix. La Tristesse Durera Dub is powerful. I would play it in a DJ set. The snare is awesome. Faster Dub is booty house goodness.

It got released as a bonus track on this CD single: Red Blooded Woman (http://www.discogs.com/Kylie-Red-Blooded-Woman/release/235567) as well as on this compilation (http://www.discogs.com/Chemical-Brothers-The-Remixes-Vol-06/release/670663). As far as i know this is the legit version (it starts with blippy bits). Is this what you seek for a decent rip of the proper version Enjoyed? Am I missing out on anything interesting as regards the other version?
@Androidgeoff, what do you mean by: " That version is not as wet as the one that comes on the one Remix CD package."?
I think there are a couple of omissions on Joslyn's list:
Oasis: Falling Down
Boys Noise: XTC
And if you want to include Tom Rowlands remixes there's also:
I Break Horses: Hearts
Klaxons: Love Frequency.
Also I think there are a couple of different versions of the vocal mix of the Manics' La Tristesse Durera. I seem to remember WN discussing this on the old forum...
I also ordered the promo version of Hearts to get the Tom Rowlands remix.
And by less wet, I mean the mix feels more forward and without FX.

Turns out I was being an idiot and not searching my iTunes properly. I have the version from Remixes Vol. 6 and a 4:43 edited version from Kylie's Japanese 'Boombox' compilation. Besides being more compressed and louder (and edited) the Boombox version is the same.
I'm definitely keen to hear the other version though. It's one of my favourite Chems remixes.
I have updated the remix list with everything I got in my collection EXCEPT for M.S.P. - Done & Dusted. Those remixes are more or less the same as the common remixes. I have EXCLUDED the edit versions of some of the remixes.
New entrys are bold including Skyscrapers additions plus a different and new remix by the Charlatans.
I think I have every remix they have done now (I still don't have a physical Boys Noize remix but that won't last long)
Happy hunting!!!

Before The Chemical Brothers were The Chemical Brothers, Tom Rowlands was the drummer in a band called Ariel. This is one of the many tracks that they released.
Though claimed to be the first ever released recording done by the duo Ed and Tom, under their early DJing alias 237 Turbo Nutters, this mix is actually done by Justin Robertson of Lionrock fame. Their first mix is The Dust Brothers remix of another Ariel track, T-Baby, in 1992.

I believe AnType still handles the Chemical Brothers Discogs listing... and he's always kept it pretty legit. That's probably the best place to start.

Things you're missing - the original acid remix of The Charlatans' Feel The Pressure. Never formally released but they played it in DJ sets in 2003, and you can hear a few minutes of it on the Facebook Mix, before Do It Again.
Tom Rowlands remixed two other I Break Horses tracks, but only Hearts was released. The only people I know who have heard them are Simon Raymonde and Tom.
There's also a Nine Acre Dust (Chemical Brothers Remix) floating around out there. It's identical to Nine Acre Dust except the remix is 30 seconds shorter - most/all in the intro. I don't know where it came from, but it sounds mostly legitimate.

Thanks for that. I got the Digital Decks album where it's on the tracklist. Added to the remixography.

Í know versions without the intro and almost directly starts with the Lalalalala.
Nine acre dust (Chemical Brothers remix) sounds unoffical to me as Nine Arce Dust is essentially Nine Acre Court (Dust Brothers remix)

Well Saint Etienne haven't been shy of releasing a compilation or two over the years:
Too Young To Die (2CD) featured a bunch of remixes on disc 2, many of which then popped up on Casino Cassics which itself had several releases (2CD, 3LP and in 2012, 4CD!!).
Now they've produced a new limited spin-off remix CD called Mondo Casino which isn't listed on Discogs at the moment. And yes, it features the vocal version of the Chems mix of Like A Motorway. Good luck getting hold of the CD though, 'cause it's limited.
From St Etienne's Facebook (23rd August): (https://www.facebook.com/SaintEtienneOfficial/photos/us-tour-exclusive-cd-releasesas-our-us-good-humor-tour-approaches-we-can-finally/10155513739246536/)
QuoteAs our US 'Good Humor' tour approaches we can finally bring you news of our aforementioned "exclusive merchandise items".... Secondly, we have Mondo Casino, a decades-spanning double CD companion to Casino Classics that contains rare and in-demand mixes, many on CD for the first time. Twenty of them! From Masters At Work (Only Love Can Break Your Heart) to the Chemical Brothers (Like A Motorway - Vocal Mix) to Air France (Spring) to Tiesto (Action - Instrumental Mix) to Confidence Man (Magpie Eyes) ... limited to 1400 copies, and we'll limit the number sold each night to 150 of each title on a first come first served basis. For fans outside North America, we'll be selling any remaining copies (and there will be some) via our webshop when we get back to England. Neither will be re-pressed, so get 'em while they're hot!
The tour was in September. I don't see anything on their Webshop (https://saintetienne.greedbag.com/dept/~cds-14/)...
But maybe one or two of you completists might want to hunt this thing down anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
**EDIT2** (yes in this order). They've just posted a new FB post now. They play two sold out gigs at The British Library (!) this weekend (I've been there. It really
is a massive library). And will be selling the CD's there. So I guess if there's any left after that...

Is this the Chekov Warp Mix or the Chekov Warp Dub? I only have the Dub as mp3, this one here sounds exactly the same except that it is labeled by Saint Etienne as Vocal Mix. I'm confused. Have Saint Etienne just labeled it wrong?
This one here has the vocals, but was not uploaded by Saint Etienne themselve (and has shitty quality)
Ok YouTube algorithm has sent me down some wild rabbit holes tonight, maybe you all can solve this one I badly need some sleep...

Simone from MTV Party Zone! Dutch but with insanely good English. Presented the weekend dance music shows from 11 til 2 or something. Would sometimes drop hints that she had dropped an E at a rave to a particular track she's just played on MTV and now whenever she hears that track it always makes her grin. :)
I'm a bit like that with Josh Wink's Higher State Of Consciousness. Never liked it until I was on something. Now, as soon as I hear those breakbeats I get a nice feeling.

Oh so we actually have a track title on that old thread. It seems that Industrial Breakdown was a 7" single
and a 5-track 12" EP. Well listening to the song itself -especially those beats- I can see scope for a Chems remix. It's not a brilliant tune though IMHO. Discogs title search (https://www.discogs.com/master/64828-Dub-Narcotic-Sound-System-Industrial-Breakdown).
Interesting to hear them say the Boo Radleys sampled the Chems (this rings a very vague bell). I was a big fan of the Boo's Giant Steps (https://www.discogs.com/master/20413-The-Boo-Radleys-Giant-Steps) album that came out in 1993. I'm thinking that might have been too soon to have a Chems/Dusts sample on it, but it's not impossible (STTS). WhoSampled gives me jack shit, so I'm scratching my head on that one. I recommend that album though; fantastic 90s indie.
Quote from: ThePumisher on Feb 20, 2025, 11:36Subtitles say "...and a dub narcotic sound system remix but no one's paid for it so it's not the problem" "remix their own stuff as well it's a great effect really good"
Subtitles are wrong. Tom says "...so that's a problem".
I guess The Chems stood firm over payment and the remix was never released. This would be a cool thing to ask Tom about next time there's an opportunity.
PS - and kinda off topic, speaking of people sampling the Chems, I remember a track that came out either in 1996 or the first half of 1997 that sampled Fuck Up Beats. It was by a solo female artist - British I think. A sort of indie-angsty-rebel thing where she sang "At seventeen years old and quite impossible", or something. I'm pretty sure the track was called Seventeen, but no, it had nothing to do with the old Janis Ian dirge. It was more upbeat and 'rebellious'. It got radio airplay for about a week, it failed to become a hit and it disappeared. The singer disappeared too (don't know her name now). I remember seeing the CD single for sale in Virgin Megastores and considering buying it. I kinda wish I had. To this day I can't find it on t'internet...
