Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - For Pete's Sake

Quote from: LLG on Sep 10, 2020, 11:02

I didn't take the time to listen to all of this when LLG posted it (I still haven't really, just bits). But I've just noticed some stuff at 12.07 which may not be of "chemical" interest but might catch the ear of anyone who listened to the early days of Pete Tong circa 1991:
"You make me feel so good...Brand New, Good for you!". Tong used to play these as jingles on his show every week. Presumably this was the source (although they must be from old films/adverts originally).
I guess tapes of these shows must have crculated around the world in the 80s and 90s; they sure weren't on the ahem, internet back then!
EDIT: oh also 13.43 "strictly rockers" + slide whistle; more Tong jingles.

The time stamps that LLG mentioned in September are on WhoSampled, I see.  Was it someone here who did that, I wonder?

Spoiler
Get Up On It Like This: 10:27, 10:41, 11:36 and 29:22
Block Rockin Beats 27.10

At the 10.41 time stamp he says "AJ Chemical" (appears around 5.40 in Get Up On It...). Not sure on this but, could this also be the "Chemical" in the Bring The Pain remix?
