AUTHORS NOTE: These mixtapes are considered outdated as 1 Year later, my mixing is far more superior. I may redo these in the future, if you still wish to download, I'm not stopping you, have a wonderful day

Formerly named "making a best lives collection"

I've been busy toying away at audacity & Came up with a mix of several lives from all eras between '95 to '05 (Not like that album where its just songs chopped up into different tracks).
I've been working on a so called "live set" but each track actually segways into the next like a real live set.

Volume 1 (1995-2005)

Secret Bonus Tracks :-X
(to compensate for horrible Quality on some tracks, thanks a lot S**tty @$$ iPhone Recordings)

Note: Each track has been normalized to the same Decibel and should be equal in volume, to maintain the illusion that this is just one big live recording. if not Let me know which track(s) are louder/quieter than the rest

Fun Fact: Part of this was heavily inspired by Bootleg Babies, a 2 Disk fan album of Live Underworld Recordings with the same concept

"The music Gets Louder, The Lights swirl faster, the chap who freaks out hasn't passed the acid test... A surprising number of these youngsters don't even know who Timothy Leary is..."

I've been wanting to do something like that for quite some time but never jumped the step. I'm curious to hear what the result will be

On the same note, I can't remember who, but someone from the forum (I think) put together a collection of "Awesome live moments". There's a YouTube playlist covering much of them

Great idea - look forward to hearing the final one.

Instead of 18, I love HBHG into The Test in the 2002 tour - the Roskilde recording was a great example of that.

Ah, FredfredBurgerdude ;D
he was the one that helped me get my hands on the majority of the High Quality bootlegs in my collection.
(that playlist also gave me the idea to make this XD )

Been listening to this this morning. Have to say, I'm enjoying it A LOT.

Seriously, good on you for doing all these mixes and things. Having an idea, getting stuck in and doing it. Very impressive.

If I had to be critical, there are a couple of jumpy edits in a few places, and I would say that the first 30 minutes or so is pretty relentless with the beats (arguably not a bad thing at all, just my personal opinion) but other than that I think it's great.

Nice one CS117!

What are you using to edit these all together out of interest?

EDIT: You already said Audacity, sorry. Even more impressive. Are you sticking more to hard cuts then? You'd probably have fun in Pro Tools. Transient tabbing would be a treat for cutting together one beat to another.

For god's sake, it costs 600 bucks! Maybe he should try Reaper? It costs 60 bucks for non-commercial use. I'm using it alot for my musical stuff (producing, editing, mixing).

Pro Tools LE is cheap or free, as far as i remember.

Ardour is completely free because open source, but was back then only available for linux. Dunno if it's released meanwhile for windows or macos.

edit:

Nicely done CS117. I enjoyed vol.1 a lot, nicely mixed together. Great to hear Come Inside in a good set and a long Flashback version. Great work and I was really looking forward to vol. 2.

With that amount of track the transitions are less fluid and I can hear that you have used multiple recordings on several tracks. Disc 2 is amazing. All the different encore from the last couple of years put together and the bonus tracks from Electric Proms, very nice (is there a recording of the entire Electric Proms gig out there somewhere?)

The track I was most anticipating was Problem:Question. Only the track you used isn't Problem:Question. It's the same transition track leading into Saturate as the Don't Think live album.

This is a recording of Problem:Question (Animal track) done by Sneaker:

There also is a recording on youtube from a DJ set at Sonar Spain where the track is played but I can't find it.

But minus thus issue great work on the compilations, I'm listening to it a lot. And maybe you got a great recording of Problem:Question somewhere in your archive  :D

Oh how I'd like to have a fully fleshed out version. That melody!
