So in mid December I decided to completely stop using a DAW. I purchased a mixer, equipment, and began recording into a Tascam HD-P2 I have had for like 6 years. I am still working out many kinks in my system as the mixer has seen better days.

I have been working a lot on tracks. I do not want to share most of my stuff since I have a plan, but here is a song I do not mind sharing:

Can't play it in the U.S. Can you provide a download link or another media source? Thank you.
Uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?

Wow, sound quality is pretty good for stream  :o
I can hit cheeky lizards if I want!

Hey all,

I had a quick idea. I know we're not much for formal rules here, but I've noticed a problem with getting feedback in this thread (not just now, but for years), and I'd like to propose something to fix that.

The rule for posting in Post Your Music would be:

You are not allowed to post your own thing until the person who posted before you has received at least one piece of feedback on their thing.

For example, if you want to post your DJ mix, but the person who submitted a song before you hasn't gotten any replies, you (or someone) needs to respond to their work before you post your own thing. Once you respond, then you can go ahead and post whatever. Feedback should probably be at least a sentence or two (not just "nice!" or "wow, shitty"), but that doesn't need to be a hard rule.

I know most of us post to this topic wanting to hear some kind of response.

Let me know if you like or hate this proposal.

This is quite nice. Something like this has the potential to be really bad, especially when working with samples which may not match tempo or key, but they're manipulated to a good level and don't clash. Has a Massive Attack's Exchange vibe.

If I were you, I'd look into sampling some classic hiphop drum loops and breaks, and turn this into a loungey jazzy trip-hop work! I kept expecting some sort of smooth beat to pop in on your demo.

Never for money, always for love.

Hello everyone. I hope someone (Whirly, Whitenoise - for quick example) users are remember me.

Even if no - it was a great time, to share my opinion with such nice bunch of people. Clever, smart & funny.

So i decided to return, coz miss all of you & last Chemical show in Moscow put so much love in my heart.

But Also - i started to made music - and your true, honest opinion - bad or good - are matter.

Revontulet reminds me a bit on Kraftwerk's 'Kometenmelodie 1' (or was it Kometenmelodie 2?). Don't know why.
unfuck the world please

My answers won't be very technical but...Revontulet is really nice. The high pitch bit that almost sounds like a theramin offsets nicely against the more warm/melodic parts in the foreground, especially from around 1.14 onwards. I'm getting a bit of an M83 vibe from this. (BTW did you do something to the volume around 13 secs?)

How to Survive Inside Sparrow: The melodic bits (0.22-0.40) are really good. The other bits sounded like a demented computer game and would probably do my head in! Can we have another mix without the demented bits?
IT'S MORNING TIME!

2 Skyscraper -

You mean ambient mix? Like this 2 for example?

&

- I am thinking about that..but...I realy like how this disbalance, two parts.

Hey Kisser. Naturally we remember! I think you were the one who hooked us up with the Best Original Score version of Hanna?

I agree with Skyscraper on How To Survive Inside Sparrow. The bit-crunch parts are really annoying, but the parts with the piano and synth lead are really nice.

Dolphin Vertigo is very very good!

I'm not sure I meant ambient. Just your choice of "bit crunch parts" -as WN calls them- seems really harsh. But I understand that you're being playful and trying to offset the "smooth" with the "rough".

As for Dolphin Vertigo, yes it is nice . A random thought hit me about the high pitch beeps at the end of Dolphin Vertigo. They reminded me of the XDR beeps at the start of Side 1 and end of Side 2 of EMI cassettes from the '80s & '90s. Arcade Fire also put the beeps at the begining or end of one of the 'sides' of their Reflector album - presumably for some nostalgic fun.

IT'S MORNING TIME!

thanx alot to everyone :)

I have a new one.

Sadly - i erased whole progect when was trying to open it (it can happen, when you write music in Korg Gadget & u drunk a little :D)

So this is the is only survived version wich was recorded live a few months ago.

Hey. I'm looking for a set (actually a track from a set) done by one of you guys here. I think it was the guy who made couple of chemical brothers only mixtapes (not the big mashup ones).
Anyway there was a track which was mixed with Groove Armada's "I see you baby". The vocals of the track were something like "say what.... get on down". I hope the guy will pop out here (I thnk it was a regular forum user)

THANKS!

Edit: OK I searched the old forum and I think it was Brother_Ging and he made music as https://soundcloud.com/the-bc23-experience/
The mixtape was named "sunburner" but it's not around anymore.
ARE YOU HERE?

EDIT number 2: I found it on the old forum

don't get me wrong, but i don't think those two tracks work very well together

So, hello guys. This is the first track I'll post on this forum. I'm Glenn, and I produce electronic music for about 2,5 years now. I create all kinds of retro sounding tracks, so when I started to listen to the chemical brothers this spring, I also tried to incorporate some of their sounds into my music. So, I'm now working on a great last track for my upcoming fourth album, this track is inspired by the big beat sound and especially private psychedelic reel by the Chemical Bros. It is still a rather short and unfinished version. I would really like to hear of you like it and if there are things I can improve.
