I don't have time for TV shows, but I watch Suits , for music only
Same.
Though only have the time to watch comedians in cars getting coffee now. (15-20 minute episodes) For those who worship comedy, I really recommend it.

Really hyped for The Expanse. Based on an excellent book series and being done by SyFy who are putting more money and effort into the show than any show they've done in history. The set designs look incredible:

Comes out late this year.
Never for money, always for love.

Southpaw (movie). Corny script, great performances.
Watch it with your emotions rather than your brain and it's a knockout.
And read as  little about it as possible beforehand. Don't go near IMDB etc until afterwards.
IT'S MORNING TIME!

I have a feeling we will be discussing this film again in November when it finally gets a commercial release. Based on the novel by Chems friend John Niven, it's set in the 90's Britpop era and features the main character dancing to a Chems tune at some point (I'd guess Block Rockin Beats).

An IMDB member was at the premier and has written a favourable review HERE without any real spoilers. Although there are spoilers in the discussion threads I believe.

And a fan of the book made a decent fake trailer/opening title sequence for it back in 2010. No spoilers here either.

IT'S MORNING TIME!

Regarding the post immediately above...go to Chemical Spotting now.
IT'S MORNING TIME!

Fear The Walking Dead's pilot was pretty good if not a bit slow.  I'm just waiting for lots of people who don't know the rules to make lots of stupid zombie apocalypse lifestyle choices.

PBS aired the best episode of Austin City Limits' last season.  Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds freaking slayed!

I have watched season 1 of Wayward Pines in just two days. Amazing show, with fucked up revelations.

Just finished Attack on Titan after being very disappointed with the live action and being assured the anime was top notch.

It was. Excellent story with a wonderful world design and great characters. Haven't felt as breathless during episodes since Breaking Bad.

I started Lost last night. Am I a bit late ?

Lots and lots  of unanswered questions

And the ending was a total cop out.

RIP  Wes Craven, a man whose influence extended to the Brothers with this.

IT'S MORNING TIME!

I just finished watching Silicon Valley, following Ben_j's posts in the funny shit thread. Fortunately I didn't watch the dick theory scene before hand so that was an incredible surprise.

I did find myself getting angry towards the end of season 2 with some of the cringing bad luck that was going on. It reminded me of how I used to feel watching The Life & Times of Tim. It was super hard sometimes. But the happy (and hilarious) moments make up for it all.

Recommended.

Watched Jupiter Ascending yesterday. Porn for the eyes, but story and most actors are meh.

That film is hilarious. Mila Kunis often doesn't react to things that are happening to her until like 2 scenes later.
She'll be on a spaceship headed somewhere and suddenly ask "what was that about?" regarding something that happened on Earth.
V lols.

The dick theory and the Blaine scenes are my favourites :D The inherent bad luck is unfortunately representative of all of the bad things that can happen to you when you're running a startup like Pied Piper. Of course, not ALL of these would happen but still, it's a funny yet accurate description of it.

I recently finished "A young doctor's notebook". It's set in early 20th century and is about a young doctor who , after excelling at Moscow medical university, gets assigned to a backwater hospital. Very short (2 seasons á 4 episodes), I highly recommend it for everyone who likes dark, morbid humor.

Right now I'm re-watching Arrested Developmet. Probably my favourite series ever.
