What's the point? Is it meant to be DJ friendly?
I think the idea was to make it very easy for radio programmers to fade in a nice clip of the track during a break or commercial - tease out the track basically - and save the engineers the trouble of making the edit themselves. I found a promo CD in my radio station with something similar on it (can't recall where it is or what band now). Probably just a very short lived promotional idea.

The design looks reminiscent to the main page design in the year (2009ish) prior to Further. Is this perhaps a continued collab with Dorothy?
That would have blown my mind. If I had a mind.
"We going up!" and then pogo for the stars
"why yes, yes you are crazy and I love you for it!" Whirly

Steep punishment for being American. That's almost 50% more expensive!

Yep! I like the design but overpriced! I can purchase 2 full albums with that price.

I still love my numbered kate gibb surrender poster that i paid for only 35!

Someone, on a favor from someone at Virgin, has sourced a copy of an internal dubplate bootleg made by The Chems themselves, "used by The Chemical Brothers as the foundation of live shows in 1990s" ... " sampling Beatles, Unique 3 etc and blending with their tunes."

And it can be yours for... one thousand pounds!

Should we haggle him down, or start a Kickstarter?

He's a money grabbing b*st*rd isn't he? He should treasure it and/or rip it to Youtube.
"thanks for the gift, now I'm gonna sell it and get rich".
I wonder if the Chems are a bit too niche for this item to get anything like £1k on any site other than Discogs. I get the impression that if you have rare shit by a big name artist like U2 or Coldplay you might get big money on ebay, but perhaps not so much for smaller artists.

It seems that Discogs are banning the sale of bootlegs left right and centre these days. Seems a real shame considering Discogs was started as a database for obscure dance 12"s. I'm pretty sure bootlegs have always been a part of the dance scene.
Anyway what you could do is flag this item up to Discogs. They then ban it's sale. Then contact the seller by PM and offer him £50 for it.

Is this mean? Any meaner than what he's doing?
IT'S MORNING TIME!

I get charging a bit high since it's literally a one of a kind handmade thing by the Chems... but it's the same as getting a CD signed then flogging it online for insane prices. Shitty.

I messaged him asking for a better description of the item, and audio samples. If it's just mashups we've already heard released on Brothers Gonna Work It Out, Anti Nazi, etc. then this is just a collectors item and I'm not bothered.

Some of The Chem's personal synths have been auctioned in the past, but that was for charity so the prices were for a good cause at least!

Agreed, this looks like a sham. Even if it was authentic and all, but €1,1k is utter bollocks. Perhaps I'm just a shitty fan..
