Don Buchla has died

Just read on the Chems twitter feed that Don Buchla died four days ago. :(

He invented some amazing analogue modular synthesizers. Alessandro Cortini, former NIN keyboarder, is known to be a big fan of the Buchla 200e with which he created two albums under his alias SonoIo. He also played a jam with Don Buchla on one of these at the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival in 2010.

Incredible inventor. It will be missed.  His modular system are truly remarkable, a work of art. Those buchla sounds are some of the best in electronic. What a shame  :(
