So 2026 also "only" DJ sets...

It's 237!  That's also the best number because it would make you the Turbo Nutter of the deluxe owners

I was surprised that they're returning to Argentina, especially with a DJ set again. They'll probably do more shows in South America. I thought they'd tour the UK or Europe with their new live act by the end of 2026.

Nothing "only" about them ;D

I don't think they'll return with a live show until a new album is on the horizon.

Thats why i was hoping for a live show. It's been long enough, time to release Base 7.

They're playing on the first day! Luckily, there are lots of other artists I also want to see that same day at the festival, including Franz Ferdinand. The downside is that the ticket costs over 200 USD just for that one day. Way too expensive. Still, I'm hoping they'll do another show in Buenos Aires or (I'm praying) in Mendoza, my city.

I empathize with you on the price. I feel priced-out on a lot events and only seems to get worse.

Still, I would feel encouraged if I'm a Argentinian fan. Either the Chems are getting advised to make more appearances in South America (specifically Argentina), or you got a booking agent that is really determined to bring them to Argentina over these couple of years. Here's hoping this leads to the long overdue return of the "Live" show for your area.

I'm not familiar with a lot of Latino artists on this festivals lineup. Any artists that we as a forum should watch out for that may have crossover appeal, or perhaps a potential future collaboration from?

I think this year's visit may have "strengthened" the relationship so that they could return with their live show. What stands out to me is that there's no news about any other country in South America... Still, it's early, I think there will be more dates.

I hadn't thought about a future collaboration, and now I can't stop imagining Marilina Bertoldi. She's a great multifaceted rock artist, and this year she released a new album that's very synth-pop or something similar. This is a great song that speaks a bit about Argentine reality, referencing "don't make noise, you're disturbing." "Van a despertar al gordo" is a classic Argentine phrase that means "don't make noise, my baby is sleeping."  And the video is pure genius. Everything falls apart and nobody does anything. There was a lot of criticism toward very famous Argentine artists who, when asked about Argentine politics, simply didn't answer — as if they had no thoughts of their own.

And this is my favorite song of hers:

Cosquín Rock is a great local festival, mainly focused on Argentine rock. But until just a few years ago, there weren't any international artists. The first ones to come (if I remember correctly) were Slash, Deadmau5, Tiësto, Charlotte de Witte, among others.

I think one of the few bands with international projection is Babasónicos, of whom I'm a big fan. They have more than 30 years of experience, and in recent years they've shifted toward a minimalist electronic sound. I highly recommend them, though I understand the language might be a barrier.

They just dropped a new single this week:
