Just bought tickets to Erol Alkan's To The Rhythm show in November, today I see that he's also going to be doing a DJ set with the Chems! My money won't be able to handle this.

Got pre-sale tickets. Last year at Printworks was amazing. Now to try and get the time off to make it.

This might be midday - 11pm now, they changed the times on Facebook an hour ago for some reason. Everywhere else still says a 3am finish, not sure how changing to 11pm would work given they have sold early entry tickets for instance

I know their sister club The Beams generally has daytime gigs on that are over around 9 or so, so maybe they were getting mixed up  ???

Any word on set times tomorrow night? Presume the Chems will be on from 1-3 or will they be finished at 2 and someone else closing it out?

So Midnight til 3am it was. Miami was only 2 hours, I believe. They flew a long way just to play tunes for 2 hours and then come home...

One thing I noticed in a Miami clip was the spoken word part of Space Gospel. I think you could clearly hear cheering, as though the Speaker was addressing a crowd. So that detail, combined with the use of Rev. Jesse Jackson in the intro to their DJ sets (again last night, see below) has me currently convinced(ish) that it is Rev. Jackson as per Explud's previous suggestion. And the sung vocals probably are by somebody else (as Stefan previously suggested). No Space Gospel in the insta post below, but there are 10 (ten!) slides.

Noteworthy:
Slide 6: The "Your Love" intro with Rev Jackson's "Brothers and Sisters..." spoken words over the top.
Slide 3: A looong clip of the warped pop/rock/indie track. I actually like it more now that I've heard more of it here.
Slide 5: What is this? Thoughts anyone? There seems to be a female vocal deep down in the mix saying "here we (you?) go", and some Chemical MC Escher FX. EDIT: Oh the vocal is "Free Yourself". D'oh! Mixed into a bit of EBW 6 I think.
Slide 8: Perhaps the latter stages of the Ass-Shaker/conga track? Taiko's Acid Resistance mixed with vox from something else.
Slide 9: What's this chugger? EDIT: It's Swarm by Benjamin Damage.
Slide 10: The sonics make me think it's Chemical, but I don't recognise it. MC Escher FX again here.  EDIT: It's Highdive by Gramrcy & John Loveless.

There are also a bunch of Intsa Story clips on Printworks and the Chems Insta pages. What's that "Drop The Bomb" track? I notice they also played Leftfield's Accumulator in their set.

EDIT: Oh this N3rish guy above also has some insta story clips including the "basic bitch" groove we've heard previously. Be quick to catch em!

IT'S MORNING TIME!

Warped Track sounds great! Either they did some tweaking, or this is a part of the song which we haven't heard in the previous short snippets. I'm fully convinced that this is new Chemical material.

Slide 8: Is the Under The Influence base line mixed in there? Sounds like it to me

i'd listen to some of the stories the brothers postet on their storie - did they do something with HBHG?
unfuck the world please

Yeah they got KiNK to remix it (three years ago)

Another post from Printworks '22
The third (short) slide is...All Of A Sudden (I think??)
The ninth slide seems to be Taiko's Acid Resistance mixed with something else.
The tenth slide is a throwback track, Bam Bam's Where Is Your Child?

And more:
Slides 3,7 and 8 are all Space Gospel. The big beats in slide 8 are the intro I think. Silde 4 is a bit of a Chemical mash-up.  Slides 5 & 6 are another DJ. The track in Slide 5 incidentally, is "World Is Empty" by Skream & Jansons - a track that samples Diana Ross & The Supremes. Fun fact: it took about 3 years to get that sample cleared.

I'm not sure if the first 2 slides here are Chems; I can't see the stage clearly. The track on the 2nd slide is a remix of Looking At Your Pager by KH (Four Tet). Would the Chems play that?

Nothing new in these slides, but Slide 2 is a track by Benjamin Damage. I remember T&E telling Lauren Laverne in 2015's Chemical Christmas that they sent each other Benjamin Damage stuff because they dug him.
