"Here to stay" played live ?

Going though setlist.fm entries, I stumbled on the setlist for their show in 1999 in Buenos Aires, which lists "Here to Stay (New Order cover)". Doing a bit of research, I found out that the Chems produced Here To Stay (which was brand new information to me, I don't know how I didn't know that yet 😮) which was released in 2002. It is then entirely possible that they played that at least one time in one of their sets.

Does anyone know more about that ? With maybe some more information on how legit that setlist is ?

EDIT :
found that video, which has a few video clips from various tracks, but only the audio for Out of Control.

There is one bit that sticks out though, with visuals I'm not familiar with, 4 faces in black and white, at 1:43.

Also, in the comments, 13 years ago, @Bob Chipezka does appear to have interacted with the guy who posted that, who said they would post the 20mn recording (but it's nowhere to be found. Bob if you're around here, any more info on that ?

Well since I'm here...

The guy who entered the songs on Setlist FM says in the edit comments "setlist sourced from a notebook I kept from the 90's"

Not sure how he would have known the title Here To Stay in 1999 when it wouldn't come out until 2002.

This show was also before Surrender or Out of Control had been released. And we hear Out of Control in that video - but Out of Control isn't on the setlist he added.

So my best guess is the Chems played Out of Control, and the guy in the crowd wrote down "New Order track?" in his notebook, as shorthand for recognizing Bernard's vocals while not knowing the song.

Then 25 years later, when he's adding the songs to Setlist FM, he sees he wrote down something like "New Order track?", looks up "The Chemical Brothers New Order collab", and comes up with Here to Stay instead of Out of Control (since OOC only credits Bernard).

The rest of the setlist might be a little off too, the order is pretty unique for that year. But you never know!

It was fun to learn that they played a handful of shows before Surrender was released, never knew that!

Never for money, always for love.

^Yeah, what WN said. Indeed, I know "hardcore" New Order fans who sometimes get the two tracks mixed up.

Also:
New Order actually split up ater the release of their 1993 album, Republic. They quietly reconvened at the end of the '90s and surprised a few of us with a new track, Brutal on the soundtrack to the Danny Boyle/Leo DiCaprio film, The Beach in 2000. Then came 2001 comeback album, Get Ready (best known for the single, Crystal). And then the 2002 film 24 Hour Party People about Manchester's Hacienda nightclub - owned by New Order and of course frequented by The Chems in their student days (the Chems even named a track after a club night there: Nude). New Order's main contribution to the soundtrack was Here To Stay.
Most New Order fans believe they wrote the song around the time of 2001's Get Ready, and recorded it then or shortly after.
Or to put it another way: Here To Stay probably didn't exist in May 1999.

I have actually heard Here To Stay performed live a couple of times - but by New Order, not by the Chems.

Also - nerd alert - there's a version/mix of the track that didn't come out on any iteration of the single release that is probably my favourite version. Chems production + Bernard's guitar and not much else (oh Hooky bass guitar too). It came out on Disc 3 of the "Retro"  Box Set and nowhere else. The breakdown section from around 2:30 to 4 mins -when listened to on proper speakers/headphones- gives me genuine goosebumps.

Here to Stay, extended instrumental

Oh PS: Michael Winterbottom who directed 24 Hour Party People also directed 2016's On The Road about Wolf Alice. Another Chemical connection, I guess.
IT'S MORNING TIME!

You two raised some interesting points, you're probably right, sadly ☹️

What do we make of those unseen visuals though ?
