The Fight The Drabs mix has been available on all streaming services and digital music stores for a while now as part of the Brotherhood deluxe edition. It's not exclusive to Apple Music.

huh. i somehow haven't actually listened to this before now. i like this a lot better than the album track..
Eight or over.

I ended up down the SOCAN rabbit hole after the post in the other thread. Going off @Enjoyed s' old list, this is what I found. We can update a few things.

140 SONG - 18 Sep 2003
Ryno: Shares credit with Hoops. Jules Alexander is the vocalist/lead guitar of the band The Association (Round Again sample).

FOUR BROTHERS - 10 Jul 2008 - Big list of composer/author credits that looks suspiciously like the names of the artists featured in track 1 of Brothers Gonna Work It Out.
Ryno: BGWIO was featured in the movie Four Brothers. Likely where this credit is associated with.

O C CUES - 16 Jan 2007
OC - 22 Jun 2007 - related to the one above for sure
Ryno: Has Bernard Sumner listed. Guessing OOC double ups.

ON THE HOUSE - 24 Jan 2002
Ryno: Likely from the BGWIO mix. Mislabel of This Ain't Chicago - Ride The Rhythm

SALMA - 07 Mar 2011 - 3 m 01s - Credits for Derrick Stewart, Renato Carusone & Nicola Salerno
Ryno: Derrick Stewart is Fatlip so this is an alternate listing for Salmon Dance. The interesting part is that Renato Carosone & Nicola Salerno are classic Italian songwriters. Unknown sample?

SCARECROW - 03 Jun 2003 - 3m 00s - David Lee Roth credit - the proposed collaboration from this article?
Ryno: ummmm....

I don't even want to know

with IMBD link.

SKINK - 06 Mar 2006 - 3m 00s - Tom only
Ryno: Performer name is Guillemots (Indie band circa 2004-2012).

SWIFT JUSTICE - 03 Jun 2003 3m 00s
Ryno: There was a 1996 tv show called Swift Justice. Could have used a EPD era track in an episode.
That would have blown my mind. If I had a mind.
"We going up!" and then pogo for the stars
"why yes, yes you are crazy and I love you for it!" Whirly

surprised this wasn't posted to the forum but someone from the discord did some digging and as it turns out PAPAL DISCO LIVES!!!!!!!! (with a bit of Temptation in the mix!)

We found this video of them playing a song with drums akin to Papal Disco all the way back in 2022 but weren't sure if it was the same song but we now have confirmation it is! Now the question is why have they sat on it for this long...

Incidentally, a reminder that Tom did do a solo set less than a year ago - for the M Son Of The Century party at the Venice film festival. Maybe we'll have to guess that it was similar on Friday?..

EDIT: a Twitter/X clip:
https://x.com/william7burton/status/1939740066621923490

That version of Temptation is weird; it ain't New Order/Bernard. Yet they have a pretty good accapella or isolated vocal of Bernard for Temptation/Star Guitar live. So why use this ropey cover version?

EDIT: As for "Papal Disco", I don't think that track is it. It certainly is the track they played at Printworks, but I think it's different from "Papal Disco".

Back in 2017, @Enjoyed and I (separately) attended the Life of Galileo play.
In my review, I concluded that the disco/club track that Galileo and friends get down to was the track we had previously been calling "Here Come The Drums". I'm only 90% sure that it was acually that track, and sometimes I wonder if I got it wrong (!). Enjoyed jumped in to agree that I was probably right, but maybe he was just being supportive!

Anyway, here's part of my review post for the play, with the track I was referring to on a ropey YT clip (is this the best clip we have, anyone?). This doesn't sound like your clip above, HSTN. Unless it got a big electronic re-work. I believe we are hearing guitar in the clip below.

4) The Party (club) Scene. This was where the Young Vic transformed into a nightclub, with cast members wearing sparkly outfits and performing some stylised disco dancing ...  You may have heard this one before. How? Because, unless I'm very much mistaken, it's "Here Come The Drums" (or whatever this track is called):
?

It took me a minute to recognise it, as it's the first time I've heard the track without distortion. And it plays LOUD!  I guess you could describe it as Future Disco, complete with real drumming in places. At the time I thought: the human drumming has been recently added, but listening back to the youtube clip now, I can hear the drums at 0.30.  This was an edit of the track and it lasted perhaps two minutes or so, with a fade-down in the middle for some dialogue. I'm tempted to 'promote' this (in my head) from B-side status to perhaps the AA side of a double-A sided 12". This track wasn't composed for LoG.

Well...

okay whoops my bad for not checking! though i will say papal disco has sorta become the term we've (by we i mean the discord brotherhood) called that track from the 2013 video, admittedly we never heard what it morphed into by the time it was used in the life of galileo, but the name just kinda stuck as the most concrete name for that ID

i def think it got a huge electronic rework though in the years since, those synths, the guitar, bass, and chords under the Temptation vox absolutely are from that same song, and the drum pattern does match pretty well during the drop, just hard to tell with that new lead

EDIT: HOLY FUCKING SHIT THEY ACTUALLY PLAYED THE REAL SONG TONIGHT IN THEIR DJ SET??!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT HAS A SYNTH FLOURISH BUT IT LEADS INTO THE EXACT SAME DROP AS THE SONG FROM 2013 I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

It's indeed the track Hstn refers to, right at the end you can here this:

EDIT: Oh, if it's just a question of "naming" (Papal Disco or not), well, then I have no clue. But nevertheless, they apparently played that track above in some fashion.

You can hear the "gurgle" at the end of the 2013 clip? I can hear a bassline come in around 4:43, but I'm struggling to hear the "gurgle". It's posssible that my ears aren't as good as they used to be, though...

the gurgle i believe is a new addition since they started playing the track again, prolly as early as 2022 from that printworks clip

It seems more like me having no clue what Papal Disco really is. I thought you were talking about the Printworks track above that comes in at the end of Hstn's video, which you in fact mentioned (which I apparently overlooked).

Just chiming in real quick: The most recent video (12 second clip that hstn posted) is definitely very close to what I remember hearing in the "Club" scene in Galileo.

The earlier 42 second clip (with the DIY Temptation sample) doesn't have any super clear links to that track, but is in the same key and at roughly the same tempo and I could certainly see it being an earlier part of the track.

Very exciting either way because I remember being very, very much a fan of the music in that papal club scene and, if I remember correctly, it also incorporated some sounds from TSU, so I definitely was convinced it was Tom and very much Chemical.

Also, also - not sure if I ever shared these, but I just did some digging and found these clips from the Pre-Show and Interval (while we're still on the topic of unreleased Galileo tunes)...

Since you seem to remember it, I'd also say the first part of that clip does sound "in keeping" with the tone of the scarce audio excerpts one can find on YT for the play

Ah, I think I now get it. I didn't see that twitter video because I use a script blocker.
I believe you're right! It not only is in the same key, it also uses the same bassline/ chord progression during the Temptation part as the 2013 track. So it does seem like they've been tweaking it a lot/ adding stuff or at least we get to hear parts that were never recorded in 2013.

This suspiciously also has the same synth chord progression from the 2013 track at 1:19. Could it be that this was a theme that Tom had for the Galileo soundtrack?
Btw, love how neatly you meta-tagged these mp3, @Enjoyed :D

I do have another short clip of it from a longer Warehouse Project clip from 2014 that I nicked from YT. It uses a bit of/ and eventually leads into bits of HIA. Here you can clearly hear the bassline from @hstn's Temptation clip at 0:58.

No, the crazy synth bit immediately after that noise. As also mentioned by me in post #6 of the 2025 DJ Set thread HERE (first video). So yeah, the Printworks thing.

Well it seems my doubts may be misplaced. I guess what we really need at this point is a 5+ minute clip of this thing so that we can see how it all fits together!

Oh since I started this post, Csar has done a post. And actually we can hear the funky guitar just before the Temptation vocal comes in, and then the vocal stops and we get the "gurgle". It sounds a bit piecemeal to me, and I can't imagine it being released in that form, but OK they've tacked the "gurgle" on to the the end of Papal Disco/Temptation.

(Incidentally, I've been listening to Temptation since before the Chems were the Dusts, and I really don't like that Liam-Gallagher-lite vocal. Make it stop!)

EDIT: Additional thoughts on the video:
Intro: Percussion and FX, + pitched down "Hotstepping " vocal. No Northern Soul sample. Can I hear a "drop" sound effect from Eve Of Destruction live?
1:02  DIA (Exclusive Chemical DJ re-edit?)
2:49: We Are Nothing - crowd seems to dig it more than I do. But they do seem to be a lively crowd in general.
4:01 IBIA Mash Up sounding good.
6:33 Tom robo-dance move during Papal/Temptation pause.
6:50 TRACK ID? Does vocal say "Ay Mafia"? Is this track choice because it's in Italy??
7:36 TRACK ID? "Horror strings" sound. It seems to be mixed with Carpainter's Thumper.
10:57 Nfuku's Cookie Monster returns!
11:45 Star Guitar claps + that mystery track
