Great show - loved the bugged out flyers at the end!

Simian Mobile Disco were great as well, hadn't managed to catch them, as were 2manydjs / erol - they opened with HBHG which was quite a good laugh

Must say that Charli XCX / HBHG mix sounded good on videos i'd seen but did not translate well in real life unfortunately!

So much HBHG teasing in tbe first hour as well - was driving me a bit insane!

Yeah the videos work for me (logged in). Looks like you've captured Insta stories. There may be more worth capturing, so don't give up!
Remember when C.H.E.M.I.C.A.L used to be an intro track to their DJ sets? Sounds like they've come up with a new one. I'm trying to figure out if I recognise the vocalist...

It's worth checking the individual Instagram accounts of the clips that the Chems have re-posted. Sometimes the original person has more clips on their Insta stories than the Chems grab.
I think they finished with Going Back To My Roots by Richie Havens - an old fave of the Chems.

With the DJ sets announced for South America, I hope they announce a few more before they start playing live again. Heard through the grapevine that they were reached out to to backfill for Massive Attack at iii Points Festival in Miami but couldn't make it work. I would love a DJing tour.

Unlikely theory: They've worked with Charli XCX - because why would they take her vocals and pump them on HBHG and even change the lyrics of HBHG to loop "hey girl". Tom & Ed are not mainstream enough to just drop Charli XCX in their sets only because everyone does. On the other hand: they're not following her on Insta (which in my world was always a good sign they've worked with someone when they followed them on Insta (btw they follow nick cave...)).



Or maybe Kelly Lee Owens? Even though her voice sounds completely different. But remind you, our first guess on who sings on Live Again was Ellie Rowsell, turns out it was Halo Maud and Ellie was on Feels Like I'm Dreaming (still want to hear more of that studio session with Ellie - you hear that Mr. Rowlands and Mr. Simons?)


Or Lorde? I still believe she had sung all of This Is Not A Game (and it would have been a perfect song) but record company forced all to ditch most of her vocals in favour of Miguel.

Plenty of far less mainstream artists have been Charli XCX this summer, I wouldn't read into it much.

Actually I don't think it is her, but I get a similar vibe.
On CHEMICAL, SIFSD, We've Got To Try and GTKO they used session vocalists from a conpany that I've forgotten the name of. Maybe this is a non-famous session vocalist who we're never gonna guess...

She was there according to her instagram but I don't believe she was DJ-ing. Perhaps now that she has worked with Tom, she is one of his hareem of ladies along with Aurora. I don't think it's her on the vox though.

Yesterday, in theory, would have been perfect me. The 'right' side of London for me, a line up I could only dream of (SMD, Erol Alkan B2B 2 Many DJs, Slam and Eclair Fifi - check out her 2021 Essential Mix on YT or Mixcloud), and there were tickets available on Saturday morning for £38 on Stubhub. Alas, since last December I have been suffering from Vertigo. I used to think Vertigo was a fear of heights but no, that's actually called Acrophobia. Vertigo makes me feel like I'm drunk on a ship on the high seas. My balance has been f**ked for nearly a year. So spending all day on my feet in a nightclub wasn't gonna happen...


Anyway... @pumisher well done for capturing clips 2,3,and 4 in your reply #27. All 3 clips seem to be the same track, I'm tempted to call it the Menacing Techno track. It doesn't shazam.
Are we all agreed that it's an unreleased Chems track?
So 2 new tracks? A new funky intro track and a new menacing techno track. Is that a fair summation so far?

I've just got back from my week-end in London. I hadn't logged in or visited this forum in a while, but I had to come back after Saturday 
I don't remember when was the last time I saw Tom and Ed live, probably during the No Geography tour, but it was my first DJ set of them. The 3-hour performance had its ups and downs average++, but the last 20 minutes were   Does anyone the song they played before Star Guitar ? Is it an unreleased track ? 

Erol & 2ManyDjs were also good, I like them more than Modeselektor.
